The New York Police Commissioner has just approved a daring, top secret mission to infiltrate the ranks of La Cosa Nostra and target none other than the fearsome Dona Isabella Santanelli herself. If all goes well, he can collect enough evidence against the Dona to put her away for life and severely cripple the lucrative crime operation.

The only catch? La Cosa Nostra has access to the NYPD’s detective base (no one knows how) and can identify any of their detectives on sight. Because of this, the Police Commissioner has to recruit from some lesser known faces- the private detectives and civilians walking the streets of New York.

Will the Police Commissioner be able to assemble his task force and infiltrate La Cosa Nostra without spy interference from LCN? Or is the mission doomed to fail, and the price fatally steep for all involved? Find out in this game of The Resistance!

Alrighty y'all! Here we go!

This game of the Resistance starts now.

PMing everyone their allegiances now. If you're part of the Resistance, you only know your own allegiance. If you're a spy, I will also PM you the identity of your co-conspirator.

There are 6 players; 4 are part of the Resistance loyal to the NYPD and 2 are La Cosa Nostra spies.

You get ONE power card per mission (only the first leader per mission gets to decide which player the card goes to).

The number of players that can be on a team each mission:

Mission 1: 2
Mission 2: 3
Mission 3: 4
Mission 4: 3
Mission 5: 4

*Since there are only six players, ONE SABOTAGE vote is enough to cause the failure of any mission.

Mission 1:
“Alright, listen up!” The Police Commissioner barked to the roomful of detectives, waiting until all eyes turned to him. “Folks, we’re on the precipice of a very important capture here. Surveillance has been collected and evidence to put away the Dona of La Cosa Nostra and her henchmen away for years. All we need is four pieces of evidence before we can nab her for good.”
“How do we factor in?” A smooth-talking gumshoe by the name of Yeti spoke up from the back of the room. Lady Emerald Devon raised her eyebrows and clutched her pearls.
“You’re the task team to infiltrate, of course. LCN knows all our agents and detectives. We need fresh faces that LCN hasn’t seen before and each of you’ze has been vetted and recommended by folks close to our heart. Any monkey business and we’ll try you and put you away with the Dona herself.”
“What’s the first mission, then? I ain’t got all day, I got cases to get to!” a detective spoke up from where he leaned against the wall in his fedora. This was Sal Iva, a venerated sleuth in the underground community.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah.” The Police Commissioner grumbled. “This one will be easy. Or, at least make it look that way. We need two of you to find our mark Iggy Rosalini. Iggy has agreed to testify against the Dona in the murder against a Dies Arcanum acolyte named Patrick O’Hare. It’s very hush hush and swept under the rug, but Iggy’s testimony could really help us. He’s nervous about how this reflects on him however , and demands that two agents take him ‘against his will’ from his hideout on 33rd. Really mess the place up, you see. Make it look like a struggle. In case this goes south, he says, he doesn’t want to look like he was about to roll over on the Dona.”
He paused for a minute. “Keep it hush hush, will ya? If La Cosa Nostra catches wind of this, they’ll snuff Iggy and we’ll lose a valuable witness in our investigation. With that said…HAWKEYE. Propose a team of two operatives. You know this group better than I."

Riza, you're first up. Please put together a team of TWO detectives for the first mission (you may put yourself on the team). Once Riza proposes her team, everybody will vote on whether on not they approve the team proposal by PMing me. If a majority approves it, the mission starts; if not, leadership passes onto Lady Em. Your power (which you can give to anybody, including yourself) is...

KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON YOU": Whoever receives this can, before the mission result is posted, find out privately what a particular team member chose, either "SUCCESS" or "SABOTAGE"

I'm sure you'll all be happy to know that Molly has kept to her side of our agreement and in return for me signing up for her round of the game she has made me a spy. However, she did this on the condition that I do not know who my co-conspirator is, so I'll be watching you all carefully.

If Riza were Resistance she wouldn't need to play it safe - since I've identified as a spy she only need discover who the second spy is and could afford to take some risks. Suspicious.
