The rival factions of the city of Shangri-La have been at odds for years. The Tigers seek to crush all opposition to the Prince’s rule, while the Tea Steepers are disapproving of the new Prince’s disregard for the peaceful traditions of Shangri-La.

To complicate an already fragile state of co-existence, quite a few nemesis hunters have gained the trust of both factions. Both factions, while obliged to be cordial to their new saviours, are feeling uneasy with what is apparently the new status-quo. The Prince’s soldiers have worked to ensured that the Monastery is off-limits to all visitors to Shangri-La, but this hasn’t stopped the Steepers from finding detectives sympathetic to their cause and collaborating with them â€" and the Tigers know it.

With the haunting clickety-clack-clack of countless pairs of Polka Dot Pumps ringing in his ears, the Chief of the Tigers of Shangri-La resolves to destroy the Tea Steepers once and for all. The Tea Steepers, fully aware of the plans the Tigers have in store for them, put together a team of detectives to put their plan into action. The wise monks of Shangri-La (after a few brainstorming sessions with the Scholars of Shangri-La â€" because you can never escape the Scholars of Shangri-La) know that there is but one way to protect their campaign against what they believe to be the Prince’s oppressive rule. However, the Prince’s Chief of Security has managed to sneak a few trusted informers onto the team.

Will the Steepers succeed? Will their champions succumb to the scheming of the spies? Will we ever figure out what's going on with Rasputin’s Egg? How many Sparkly Vests are the Tigers slowly processing to createâ€"? Whoa, I nearly gave the game away there. Anyway, let’s find out!

Yes, much thanks to Bela. I had no clue how to play this game the last time, but I think I'm starting to understand. I had a great time. I used to be a beer drinker, Yeti, but not for the past few years. I was a vodka guy for a few years and the past couple I have gone to bourbon. When I did drink it though, I drank a single brewery local beer. Genesee Cream Ale. Around here they call it "Screamers". I'll leave it to your imagination as to why. Living so close to Canada, a country which truly takes it's beer seriously, I couldn't argue with that statement very much anyway. :)
No offense taken, I know you better than that. This time, I thought it I'd give some Resistance when appropriate. I am already looking forward to the next gathering. Well done, everyone.

Oh pouty Yeti, it's only for the love of my game... the love... we share. :)

Shall we start another one? I have the preliminary post all set up in another doc!

I'll sign up if you make me a spy.

My favourite part was what I've termed the Mid-game Meltdown :D Unfortunately, it didn't last too long :P

And, I didn't "fix" it to be this way or anything, but did you notice that all the members of the Resistance were all Tigers (at first, anyway) while the spies are Steeper loyalists (again, at first)?

Haha what was the mid-game meltdown?!

And Yeti, tsk tsk, it's randomly assigned!

Oh well, we lost Molly, we lost! Better luck next time. And Yeti dear, I forgive you, although I was mighty annoyed at first due to the difficulties of posting. I'm up for another round if you all want, but I'm stating from the get-go that I'll be a rare sight on the trash talking boards, lol.

Oh that's fine, Molly, make me a spy then tell everyone else it was randomly assigned. You've got the credentials for those kind of lies.

Well played... I think. I'm never sure who won or lost in these things.

I do wish people would stop saying stuff like that ^ :P Seriously, so many people going, "Sooo....who won again?" (fine, not that many but more than I'd like :D).

The Mid-game meltdown (basically the breakdown in Resistance relations when everybody's been accused by everybody; happens at least once every game) started with Yeti going all "I'm a spy. Who's my co-spy, you ask? Beats me. Bela's a spy. But no, she's a sieve brain. So Molly, you must be my co-spy." and then Riza with her once-a-game analysis posted that she thought Yeti was suspicious and I don't know, he had such faith in her spy-sussing-out skills that he decided *she* must be a spy. I found a whole page of theories when I woke up to check on the votes, and see, THAT was fun :D
