The rival factions of the city of Shangri-La have been at odds for years. The Tigers seek to crush all opposition to the Prince’s rule, while the Tea Steepers are disapproving of the new Prince’s disregard for the peaceful traditions of Shangri-La.

To complicate an already fragile state of co-existence, quite a few nemesis hunters have gained the trust of both factions. Both factions, while obliged to be cordial to their new saviours, are feeling uneasy with what is apparently the new status-quo. The Prince’s soldiers have worked to ensured that the Monastery is off-limits to all visitors to Shangri-La, but this hasn’t stopped the Steepers from finding detectives sympathetic to their cause and collaborating with them â€" and the Tigers know it.

With the haunting clickety-clack-clack of countless pairs of Polka Dot Pumps ringing in his ears, the Chief of the Tigers of Shangri-La resolves to destroy the Tea Steepers once and for all. The Tea Steepers, fully aware of the plans the Tigers have in store for them, put together a team of detectives to put their plan into action. The wise monks of Shangri-La (after a few brainstorming sessions with the Scholars of Shangri-La â€" because you can never escape the Scholars of Shangri-La) know that there is but one way to protect their campaign against what they believe to be the Prince’s oppressive rule. However, the Prince’s Chief of Security has managed to sneak a few trusted informers onto the team.

Will the Steepers succeed? Will their champions succumb to the scheming of the spies? Will we ever figure out what's going on with Rasputin’s Egg? How many Sparkly Vests are the Tigers slowly processing to createâ€"? Whoa, I nearly gave the game away there. Anyway, let’s find out!

I did notice that about Devi too, that she didn't mention me before but I think that can also be explained away by us never having played together. I guess I automatically empathized in my head and chalked it up to someone coming into the room for the first time and recognizing a few friends. Hence my "it's nice to meet you" message. ^_^

Riza, what in the bananas? If you were Resistance you just did the least Resistance-like thing of all. Particularly if you were teamed up with two people and you suspected one was a spy. STRONG LEADER is kind of a whatever tool, since it doesn't automatically put that person at an advantage. OVERHEARD CONVERSATION and IN THE SPOTLIGHT are some of the most powerful tools for rooting out spies in the game and I can't think why you wouldn't service the Resistance by using it, unless you knew that both of us would be voting SUCCESS and you are a spy. That is genuinely the only reason I can think of that you would think that tool couldn't be of any impact here. Feel free to jump in anyone, if you can see another reason or configuration that this action would make sense.

Otherwise, I'm highly suspect of Riza now, particularly since on the same baseless evidence she crucified some of these other members for, she's chosen a culprit and a Resistance out of her two companions. There's a small chance that she is Resistance and can't know that I am as well, but there's also a larger chance that she's a spy and now pinning the sabotage on me because she's protecting herself... and maybe Sal?

Excuse the excited ramble, my mind is working overtime now!

Molly is right, Riza. I just don't know her. Sal, om the other hand, has joined me on an adventure before, hunting Villains around the world. You learn a thing or two about someone during such trips. plus, free ribbing opportunity.

As for Yeti.. Well, he's always suspicious.

Now, however, I'm adding you to my list since you seem awfully quick to throw the blame in my back yard. Why haven't you used your powers if you thought for sure Molly was a spy? I think it was because you were the spy yourself and just didn't want to draw attention on yourself.

I'm posting rarely and it's difficult to write a lot since I'm on my phone 90%of the time.

Yeti has proposed a team for Mission 3 and taken NO CONFIDENCE for himself.

Mission 3, Team 1:

Yeti Face
DevilishWings

Voting time: Everybody please PM with your vote on this proposal (Mission 3, Team 1, YES/NO).

Here's what I have to do, with regard to prompting everybody on when to use their cards: once the votes are in, if the mission is approved, Yeti can use NO CONFIDENCE and have it fail if he wants to. If he doesn't, and the mission's still a go, Riza can use IN THE SPOTLIGHT if she chooses to, and have Yeti or DW post their SUCCESS/SABOTAGE vote on this thread. After this mission/proposal (in case it fails), Riza can play STRONG LEADER if she wants to, and seize leadership BEFORE Sal can pick a team or decide what to do with the power card.

Feel free to post here or PM me if you're thinking of using a card and would like me to wait until you're sure.

I'm a little nervous about this play, but I see how it makes sense. I just don't want to add another loss for Resistance, and I'm very bummed that we haven't identified at least one spy for sure by now. We're 1-1, if we identify a spy for sure but lose in the process on this round, we're getting into mighty hot water if we can't identify the other in time for the next mission.

I think this is the best way to proceed, however. This is of course, banking on whether Riza chooses to use IN THE SPOTLIGHT. I'll be voting YES, I want to mark one spy off my list!

Everybody's voted; Yeti's mission team proposal (consisting of himself and DevilishWings) was APPROVED unanimously.

If Riza uses her "IN THE SPOTLIGHT" card on either player on this team, that player will have to post their SUCCESS/SABOTAGE" vote on this thread instead of PMing me with their vote. Riza, would you like to play your "IN THE SPOTLIGHT" card?

Right, as I'd hoped that little exercise seems to have proved Devi is a spy. Since Riza has been so completely unhelpful, I'm going to work on the hypothesis that she is the second spy. Therefore Sal, I will only approve a team that contains a combination of yourself, Molly, and I.

I play NO CONFIDENCE.

I knew I forgot something with that last post, LOL.

Yeti has played "NO CONFIDENCE", causing this proposal to fail.

Sal, you're the next leader. Please propose a team of TWO detectives for this mission (Mission 3, Team 2). You may put yourself on the team. Once Sal posts his proposal, everybody can vote on whether or not they approve his team by PMing me (Mission 3, Team 2, YES/NO). If a majority approves it, it passes; if not, DW will be the next leader.

Riza can choose to play her "STRONG LEADER" card *before* Sal proposes a team. Riza, would you like to play "STRONG LEADER"?

"IN THE SPOTLIGHT" is also in play, you know what to do.

Feel free to post here or PM me if you're thinking of using a card and would like me to wait until you're sure.

Nope, I don't want to use STRONG LEADER.

I do have a question though. Can IN THE SPOTLIGHT be used on oneself?

Okay, Bela. Far be it from me to try to suggest reasons for anything, but I do propose that the boys take a whack at it. I advance the proposition that Yeti and I make up the team.
