The rival factions of the city of Shangri-La have been at odds for years. The Tigers seek to crush all opposition to the Prince’s rule, while the Tea Steepers are disapproving of the new Prince’s disregard for the peaceful traditions of Shangri-La.

To complicate an already fragile state of co-existence, quite a few nemesis hunters have gained the trust of both factions. Both factions, while obliged to be cordial to their new saviours, are feeling uneasy with what is apparently the new status-quo. The Prince’s soldiers have worked to ensured that the Monastery is off-limits to all visitors to Shangri-La, but this hasn’t stopped the Steepers from finding detectives sympathetic to their cause and collaborating with them â€" and the Tigers know it.

With the haunting clickety-clack-clack of countless pairs of Polka Dot Pumps ringing in his ears, the Chief of the Tigers of Shangri-La resolves to destroy the Tea Steepers once and for all. The Tea Steepers, fully aware of the plans the Tigers have in store for them, put together a team of detectives to put their plan into action. The wise monks of Shangri-La (after a few brainstorming sessions with the Scholars of Shangri-La â€" because you can never escape the Scholars of Shangri-La) know that there is but one way to protect their campaign against what they believe to be the Prince’s oppressive rule. However, the Prince’s Chief of Security has managed to sneak a few trusted informers onto the team.

Will the Steepers succeed? Will their champions succumb to the scheming of the spies? Will we ever figure out what's going on with Rasputin’s Egg? How many Sparkly Vests are the Tigers slowly processing to createâ€"? Whoa, I nearly gave the game away there. Anyway, let’s find out!

Molly has proposed a team consisting of herself and Sal Iva for the first mission. Now everybody must vote to decide whether to send this team on the mission by PMing me with their vote - Mission 1, Team 1, YES/NO.

Molly has decided to give Riza the "STRONG LEADER" card, which can only be used before a leader proposes a team or distributes the power card.

Well as I established earlier, Molly and I are the spies so I'm going to have to vote YES to this one.

Oh Yeti, you're so silly. It simply would be no fun to be on a mission of 2 AND keep the goods to myself. I'm spreading the joy around, that's merely all. Don't besmirch my good name around town for my outrageously classy sportsmanship.

I'm definitely not a spy, but I appreciate your inspired alertness to capture the culprits. It is my experience that given method and opportunity, the spies will haplessly reveal themselves as the pressure mounts to succeed in their nasty purpose. One just has to remain calm and wait for them to sweat. :)

I also don't believe you are a spy. I've never seen a spy be so brassy as to out themselves. Unless you're banking on the fact that it seems so ridiculous that you can't possibly be a spy, and then are embraced as a comic relief and friend until POW, it turns out it was a clever trick all along.

You mustn't accuse me of being clever, I couldn't think of anything more frightful.

The votes are in.

Molly proposed a team consisting of herself and Sal; it has been APPROVED (4-1). The votes:

Molly Maltese: YES
Riza Hawkeye: YES
Yeti Face: NO
Sal Iva: YES
DevilishWings: YES

The mission will proceed; Molly and Sal, PM me on whether you vote to have the mission SUCCEED or if you vote to SABOTAGE it (members of the Resistance MUST vote to have the mission SUCCEED, while spies can choose to SUCCEED or SABOTAGE).

I simply calculated my odds, Molly. Since I know I am a spy, and you have assured me that you are not a spy, it stands to reason that either Riza, Devi, or Sal must be the second one instead. Since there was only 1/3rd of a chance that Sal was my co-conspirator, I regretfully had to shoot down the line up as likely being a non-spy one.

However, since I was the only spy to vote no to the line up, I think it stands to reason that there must be a spy on this mission - if it were truly filled with Resistance one would expect at least two no votes.

Hm, I see your logic but now I really feel you are pulling my leg! Rules of the game are that spies know the identity of their co-conspirator and Resistance members only know their own allegiance, correct Bela? At least this is true of games past, not sure if its changed. You would know your co-conspirator and would have no reason to vote down the mission unless they were also not on the mission.

Which means if you really WERE a spy, you would really only vote no because you know that neither Sal or I are spies and so the mission surely would succeed. This would leave one other conspirator hiding among the other two.

However, its more likely that you are not since you at least claim not to know your co-conspirator, and you would. Which means if you and I are not spies, then two of the other three fit the bill, and its a devils gamble as to whether Sal is one of those two. Do I figure correctly? :)

Assuming we were playing a hypothetical game where I were not a spy, and you were not a spy, and that a 'devils gamble' means a bet you are unlikely to lose, then yes I'd say it'd be worth taking a devils gamble on Sal being a spy.

In the real world of Sleuth however, I am a spy, and I'd bet that you or Sal as being my co-conspirator. Bela had an unfortunate case of sieve brain you see, and forgot to tell me who my co-conspirator was over PM.
