I've started work on the next update for Sleuth, and as promised it's going to be a content update. However, it's going to take a while before any of you see it, at least two months, potentially far longer than that.

Now I would hate to leave you all in the Sleuth wilderness, totally devoid of changes, so every one to two weeks I'll create an update from the suggestions you give here. An example of a small update (from the desk of Bela Talbot III) would be including your most recent fortune telling in the case file so long as you haven't discovered any new suspects since then.

Whilst this is going on I'll also fix up the small bugs lying around the game. For example, there's a certain accessory devouring fox that needs reining in, and possibly relocating. So don't worry about suggesting bug fixes here. Keep it to small things you'd like to see, or small annoyances you'd like changed.

Okay, I think I must be missing something here. What benefit would there be to storing money in a bank account that you do not already have by keeping the money on your detective?

The only benefit I see is to stash away money in case you plan to retire your detective and then revive him again.

Interest rates? Stocks and bonds and 401ks? My detective needs a nest egg! (Just kidding, of course.)

Haha. For all the people who enjoy that stuff in real life but find there's simply not enough of it and seek some additional 401k buzz elsewhere.

Yeah, you guys are seriously missing out on the large, large market of people who are into estate planning simulation!

I'd like to be able to store money so that if I retire and reactivate I've still got enough to bribe people to answer my questions. I would happily pay a transaction fee every deposit instead of being screwed over ever time I get cases wrong.

Besides after everything she does for me I think Ruby deserves to look after my hard earned dollars

Once you've gotten to grips with the game retirement should be very infrequent. If you haven't read it already, there's a very good FAQ thread here that should help avoid it:

You do keep 10% of your money on retirement anyway, so there should be enough there to cover some bribes.
