Our Friend YetiFace has been hard at work again improving Sleuth.

He's moved the icon toolbar around on the map page. More importantly, townie locations relevant to solving cases are now linked to each other with their own toolbar. So you shouldn't have to jump back to the map screen as often.

Yeti's working on a few other similar improvements that should help take a lot of the tedium out of Sleuth, and reduce the opportunities to make silly mistakes while you navigate.

Tell us what you think!

I think there's been some misinformation sowed, as I don't believe the ship's townies and twists have been updated yet, all I've done there so far is updated the lock picking so you don't go through the suspects' homes, and changed surveillance so you follow suspects through the ship rather than through the streets. Thank you for your kind words though Daenerys. :)

I've done some work on the third change I mentioned. There's still a fair bit to do to complete this, but here's a first glance at how it'll look for detectives during a case:

I can upload more images as the process goes on, but please let me know what you think at the moment.

I've been asked to post some full screen shots so everyone can get a better idea of how it looks next to the other features on the map. Here's what the map looks like immediately after starting a case:

http://s13.postimg.org/n3atb5bg7/case_start.png

However, it doesn't stay like that for long, as the notes will of course be added to and updated as the case continues. Here's what it looks like when all the suspects have been located in a 10 suspect Almost Impossible case:

http://s13.postimg.org/v7ixfvxvb/all_suspects.png

Now there's a few details on that last picture you may have wanted to look at, but couldn't quite see. So I'll return to close ups of the information now in the next picture.

The case is going swimmingly. Suspects are listed in the notes by order of alibi, so real alibis first, then alibis that you know but have not confirmed, then unknown alibis, then the false alibis, and finally any alibi that has been cleared by research. Both Sedgwick and Mortimer have been identified as matching pieces of evidence, and so those bits of evidence have now been crossed off the lists of anyone else they could have matched. Mortimer has also been checked against the Left Handed Note - but since he didn't match it the other suspects that could are still listed.

Now we can cleverly deduce that our murderer must be left handed, as none of the people with real alibis can match the Left Handed Note. So we decide to rule out all right handed people, which leads to this:

Being out of luck with the Postal Clerk witness evidence is sought instead. Below are two pictures from the ask about another suspect page:

I like it too, but I would like to hear from a few more folks who are playing everyday before we move forward. I want to make sure it feels like an improvement to most people.

Oh since the table at the bottom doesn't list in the order of the main list, could you push the ruled out suspects to the bottom? I mean I know you still need them if you're reverse engineering your case, so you can't grey them out, but it would make more sense to group them in / out.
