I was just wondering how many players are still playing the game..it kinda lost some popularity in the last years and it makes me sad to see only 4-5 players online

I imagine there's at least 50 players still subbed on Noir. There's definitely not a large amount of forum activity, but people do appear to be watching and reading never the less.

If you look at the weekly high scores at City Hall you'll see 30 active players right there. I believe the site only shows the top 30 so there are more active players than are posted there.

It's not for everyone is a correct statement. My husband is an avid gamer and he introduced me to the world of gaming. I found Sleuth and tried to get him interested, but he thinks it is boring! Needless to say, I love it.

It's an interesting game demographically in that the player base is quite different to more mainstream games, I believe the data charts on the left of this page are from 2009 (http://www.hypoware.com/investors.html). If the charts are to be trusted then the standard player is most likely to be female aged between 21 and 30.

I suspect however that the current lack of updates may have had something to do with the player sink. It must be rather hard for Ben to put out content for two games whilst dealing with three children.

This is a thinking persons game much unlike the norm of the "millions."
(we don't shoot anyone here.) Which is why I like it. I also like the Nancy Drew games because they are for thinking people. Logic Rules!!!!!!! :)

As an adult man, The Nancy Drew games surprised me with just how good they actually are. I think the best ones are Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake through to Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. The earlier ones are a little patchy, whilst the later ones seem to try and cram too many poor quality features into them, such as the snowmobile segments in The White Wolf of Icicle Creek.
