See if there is interest for this.

1. Each day I will post 10 questions, at random times of the day.
2. Each Quiz runs exactly 24 hours.
3. The first person that has all 10 questions right, wins. Or if no one has all questions right, the best one wins.
4. You can only post answers ONCE for the same quiz.
5. No cash involved. Just glory. :)

Does anyone have a quiz that they would like to put out. I'm not feeling so great today. If no one has anything, I'll get a new quiz up later.

As it happens there's a thing I've wanted to try here for a bit, so as runner-up maybe I'll just take that liberty. These are probably pretty easy, but fun as hell to set up.

"Lost in Translation"

I've taken lyrics from 10 well-known songs, fed them into Google translate using various languages, then fed THAT translation back into English just to totally butcher them. Guess the original lyric:

1. and it is buying stairs to the sky
2. The possibility anyone satisfaction getting there is not I
3.My charming lumps Mrs
4. Freeze for ice baby, so cold weather, so coldly
5. each rose has its spine right as each night A is paddle
6. His eyes watching us, all of the tiger
7. In you head it is yellow with it rises it will count high green crab with the flower which it sells
8. Do to come out, board to my car from my dream
9. approached to agitate its body that the baby makes conga
10. Well the money, the hazard thing, the show hazard 2, 3 that time will prepare the cat it goes and it goes and.

Have fun!

No more takers? :(

Okie dokie:

1. and she's buying a stairway to heaven (butchered through Spanish)

2. I can't get no satisfaction (Korean)

3. My lovely lady lumps (Portugese)

4. Ice ice baby, so cold, so cold (German)

5. every rose has its thorn just like every night has it's dawn (French)

6. and he's watching us all with the eye of the tiger (Chinese)

7. believe it or not, this was "cellophane flowers of yellow and green towering over your head" (Korean again)

8. Get out of my dreams, get into my car (Japanese)

9. come on shake your body baby do the conga (Portugese again)

10. Well it's one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready then go cat go. (Korean yet again...go Korean!)

I score that as 6.5/ 10 for the squirrel, since you guessed the right song but not quite the right lyric for eye of the tiger. Can't BELIEVE you got number 10!

A somewhat easy one about 'firsts'.

1. The first Agatha Christie novel?
2. The first Russian Tsar?
3. The first letter in the greek alphabet?
4. The first female Nobel Prize winner for Chemistry?
5. The first talking picture?
6. The first human in space?
7. The first gold record for a recording artist?
8. The first person to run the minute mile?
9. The first artist (recording) on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine?
10. The first black secretary general of the United Nations?
11. The first Dr Seuss book?

Bonus: Which book is this the first sentence from:

"Once upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were - Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter."

OK so I was going for A Tale of Two Cities but got distracted :)

7. Would probably read better as: 'The first recording artist to earn a gold record?' .
