See if there is interest for this.

1. Each day I will post 10 questions, at random times of the day.
2. Each Quiz runs exactly 24 hours.
3. The first person that has all 10 questions right, wins. Or if no one has all questions right, the best one wins.
4. You can only post answers ONCE for the same quiz.
5. No cash involved. Just glory. :)

Do I even have to answer that?

It was trademarked by Bayer as a product name back when it was used as a medicine.

From 1898 through to 1910 it was marketed as a non-addictive morphine substitute and cough medicine for children. Bayer marketed heroin as a cure for morphine addiction before it was discovered that heroin is converted to morphine when matabolized in the liver. The company was somewhat embarrassed by this new finding and it became a historical blunder for Bayer.[6] As with aspirin, Bayer lost some of its trademark rights to heroin following World War I.

Per Wikipedia, I stand corrected.

OK, now it's my turn to call shenanigans:

If you count the fact that I did in fact mention there being no official language in my answer to #5 and that the piece of paper/fabric that is laid down in the nave for a bride to walk on is called a runner in #11, I believe that gives me 6 as well... add in the bonus, and I lay claim to the victory on this one.

Not knocking Helen's excellent results, and not saying she shouldn't have the privilege of posting the next one, but...

c'mon...

Just remember who signs your paychecks, Adam... :)

Ergh, I hate body switching :)

Serges, in answer to your response:

# In typical quiz show fashion, I must take your first answer only, which for Q5 is German.

# Also in quiz show fashion, for Q11, "It's a good answer but it's not what we're looking for."

# Again Q11, I asked what the bride walked down, as opposed to what she walked on. It's basically semantics (I bet we all wish we had that skill), the nave is the middle of the church, the aisles are down the sides.

# The super secret bonus could only be answered by people who answered Q8 correctly. Consider it the super secret terms and conditions.

So I believe your score remains unchanged. I'll leave it up to the two of you to argue amongst yourselves.

And I sign my own paychecks... That's why I earn so much.
