I, myself, like reading (and writing) away from electronic devices and I feel that this kind of intimacy with a book (notebook) is a great part of the experience.

However, I also find that a great part of my experience with Sleuth: Noir has been reading and submitting content and, coming back to this game, I was glad to see that you can now read books that you collect. I already found one, which I hadn't had the chance of reading before, but I can't help wondering if there isn't a better way that these books can be read; the formatting (typeface, white characters on black background, spacing, continuous scroll, etc.) makes it very hard to read and very hard to keep track of where you left off.

I find this to be a great feature and I'm curious, retrospectively (I realise it has been a great deal of time since this feature has been implemented but I couldn't find a lot of talk about books), of how many of you read the books in their entirety and how easy you find reading them.

Quite a few of the books I'd already read, and some of them I already owned, but I have read some of the others.

I don't like the white characters on black background either for prolonged reading, so I just do a Ctrl-A to select all the text, then copy and paste it into a Word document.

This is what I was interested in finding out, if reading a book on your detective page is part of your Sleuth experience â€" such as posting on the forums or submitting content, the things that keep you on the website when there's really nothing else to be done in terms of investigating.

Even though I can't read off the screen either, I think I would read a chapter or two every now and again if the formatting was to be more friendly (dark font on white background, pages and perhaps a bookmark) or if it was a somewhat more integrated part of the game. Perhaps the "little jobs" could have more in common with these collections?
