This is a thread about music. All kinds of music: classical, jazz, blues, rock, folk, film music... any kind you can think of. The questions can be about anything related to music: about composers, musicians (performers), styles/periods, musical forms, musical instruments, or about particular pieces or songs.

I'll start with a person.

Yes, it is an American TV series, and it's classified as SF. It's vocal and instrumental, it's not human vocal, but no, it's not a song of dragons :).

Should have known our khaleesi would try that :P

But, I 've not really read the whole thing yet, and other than, uh, mermaids, or sirens singing (which isn't even from the book :) I dunno :) Vocal and instrumental, but not human-vocal...

No, it's not from Game of Thrones, it's something much older.

Would you say it's science fiction rather than fantasy?

I'm hoping it's not from Star Trek cos if it is I haven't a hope... :)

Is it a fictional form of opera?

Well, I'm just going to pull something out of my Big Bang theory knowledge :) What about Tuvan throat singing? I can just see Sheldon doing it :P It could be very real, though, and I'd have no idea :)
