Would you guys be interested in something along the same line? And perhaps a bit more Sleuthy :).

The object of the game is to find a film Noir character, who doesn't necessarily need to be a leading character, but not a third footman either, if he doesn't happen to be the murderer :). We need to guess the character's name and the movie he or she appears in. Googling is permitted, and I am the first to admit that I don't remember the names of characters in movies I saw years ago. In any case, it won't help if we don't know what we are looking for. The films should be "real" Noir movies, filmed not earlier than 1940 and not later than 1960.

I'll start:

I am a woman :).

Is it Walter Neff (Fred Mac Murray) in "Double Indemnity"?

Well, we can start with some easy questions.
1. Pre 1940, 1940-1945, 1946-1950, later?
2. Murderess, femme fatale, client, or innocent caught in the action?
3. Detective/Police drama or other?
4. American actress?

Hmmm... an innocent caught in the action? Not particularly innocent, but we could say that she'd been caught in the action by chance, and she isn't a murderess either.

True:

1. Filmed in 1946
2. Femme fatale
3. Caught in the action by chance (more or less)
4. American actress

False:

1. Murderess
2. Client
3. Detective/police drama

Was this an award-winner, either for the movie or the actress?? How bout the setting of the film?? New York?? Chicago?? Someplace else?? Was this actress starring next to a famous actor as her co-star??

As far as I know, neither the film nor the actress won an award, and her co-star became a major actor as the result of his performance in this movie.

True:

1. Filmed in 1946
2. Femme fatale
3. Caught in the action by chance (more or less)
4. American actress
5. Co-star was a famous actor
6. Set "someplace else"

False:

1. Murderess
2. Client
3. Detective/police drama
4. An award winner
5. Set in New York
6. Set in Chicago

Was it set in the desert? Arizona?
Was it directed by Orson Welles or Alfred Hitchcock?

Don't worry, not what I was thinking of :)

Was it set in L.A?
Is it based on a book or comic?
Are there any famous noir images from the movie?( eg the man smoking under a streetlamp or a woman silohetted in a door or people on a misty street with a car)
Was more than one person murdered?
Does the character get hurt?
Does the character sleep with the murderer (or implied, did they show those things back then)?
Does the character sleep with the detective?
Is the character rich (a socialite)?
Or poor? Maybe working when caught in the action? (At a DINER I mean!!)
