I was here a few months ago, when this game first started. Then, I left the game, and forgot the site. Things have changed a lot around here? Can anyone tell me anything that's changed around here? Is the four cases rule still in effect? Help me catch up on things...

I am a newbie ... relatively speaking :)
But.
1. number of suspects varies..... no longer a constant in cases
2. Fortune teller will tell you if you have them all or need more for $20
3. Unsubscribed 3cases (plus favor case). Subscribed is 8cases (plus the favor cases).
4. Occasionally Larry the Toe will ask you if you want to visit Lucy's Caberet for $500. There is a fence you can purchase items, a message board, or try and get Lucy to talk.
5. I think hunts may have been altered... not sure..
6. There are sleuth items for sale at city hall from Cafe Press
7. THE NEWBIE section for any newbie game questions.

Other than that there are tons of new people for you to meet, and lots of new agencies :)
....
Anyone else know of new things?

I vaguely remember seeing a detective of that name a long time ago. Not sure if it was you, Manfred. But the basic structure of the game is still the same, except for some changes in features that Rivergallery has pointed out.

I think the best way to acquaint yourself with the game again is to play! :)

Yes still three falses is a retired detective, you can pay shady to take them off. Not sure if you had him... he is in the bar.

I think river has pointed out almost all the changes. I would add:
1. you can now get a special skill you can use only once a day if you are the head of your faction.
2. the factions have also skill you can buy from them. They are not as good as the regular skills, in my opinion, but if you have all the skills you need you might want to buy those. OS sells hipnothisem, CN and DA will teach you pick pocketting and safe cracking (not sure who does what).
the safe cracking is only good if u r in an agency (for hunts).
3. townies can now give you names of new suspects. So if you are stuck ask them what they heard. If the name is new it will be on your list. But you will still need motive for that suspect.
4. we now have fetured mysteries for subscribers only.
5. you can write your own bio at the detective page.
6. you can submit intros for the mysteries and featured mysteries you wrote to ben. See info at city hall.

SO if you make 3 false accusations when subscribed, you'll lose your account and have to re-subscribe again?

No, put you do have to start a new detective.
