Stored Case Glitch

Today I opened an AI case that I had stored in my apartment yesterday. There were no suspects - not even the Client - or evidence! Whenever I store a case I will already have examined the evidence ( i.e. donned smarts gear, visited crime scene, then stored). So I'd definitely have seen, yesterday, if there were no Client or PE or any other obvious anomaly.

I tried visiting my WE contact, plus other townies, in order to unearth a starting suspect, but ever time I ask the question (click the link) the game logs me out.

I have stored it back in my apartment and will send a bug report, of course. But I just felt I should flag it up here too as it's such a strange one. Wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

The same thing happened to me a while back. There was absolutely nothing in the case, and I just kept getting tossed back to the login screen.
I just left it in my apartment at the time, and I've moved since so it's no longer there, but it was very strange.

I've never had that problem and I hope I never do. It must be very frustrating.

Thanks guys. It doesn't seem to be happening with my other stored cases. However, since Carolyn has also experienced it once, it does seem to be a definite glitch - albeit a rare one. Hope the Powers That Be can sort it out :)

I have no idea how old the case file is. I know in some instances where the game has 'changed' eg we incorporate new twists, that old case files (that never had that old twist in them) in apartments especially seem not to like that very much.

Ben has few things to look into it seems :s

Not an old case at all actually - opened and stored day before yesterday :)

Mine wasn't very old either. I can't remember for sure, but not more than a month. It only happened once to me, I had about 6 cases stored that I went through, and the last one I tried to open was the one that glitched on me. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's run into this. :)

A couple of times when the *entire* system has had to be rebooted (I think that's the term for it, yes? ;-), there have been instances where cases that were stored in Apartments had REALLLY funny stuff happen to them. General reboots have only happened a couple of times that I'm aware of, but there have also been extended downtimes when the system has been on the fritz for whatever reason(s).

The two most common things that happened to cases that I remember with my poor amniesiac brain were the case being played had a massive case of the blanks (what you seem to be reporting here), and the detective doing the playing got instantly logged out of the system every time they tried to run that particular problem case. The only solution that could be implemented with these cases was to delete them (i.e.--quit them) from one's caseload, and start fresh.

Not sure that's any comfort, but there is a history of this problem, unfortunately. (I've had two. :-/ )

Good luck!! ;-)
