I am happy to announce that the latest expansion to Sleuth: Noir, the Nemesis Hunt, is officially live as of 23:00 server time on September 9th, 2012. That is a full hour AHEAD of the scheduled update time, so first off let me start by thanking Ben for everything he has done to enable this expansion from day 1. He has been very open and supportive in this endeavor, and none of this could have been done without him. So thank you, Ben.
Now, on to the good stuff... how do nemesis hunts work?
If you have captured 3 or more Arch-Villains (10 starting October 1st), you are able to start a Nemesis Hunt. The first step is to head to Shangri-La and talk to the Prince.
...and that is the only step I will give you.
Good luck everyone! There is a special achievement on the line for the first person to capture a Nemesis, so get to it...

I like to think we're a community and we have think the best of people. I'm not saying Noir doesn't have cheaters, I'm saying that why we should start posting things that cast doubts over anyone?
If I say we have a wolf around here, even if we don't have one, people eventually would believe we really have one and anyone suspicious would be labeled as wolf. That's my point.

It's just that no-one actually said 'there is a wolf', Andrew. You must have inferred it somehow. But it is nice that you are looking out for us all :) Happy sleuthing.

Summer: Oh yes :) You know, the Nemesis hunt was also my Sleuthy Dream so when I read Serges' announcement my eyes bulged out of their sockets in SHM and my tongue dropped and there were hearts blinking in my eyes haha (I should stop watching animes) However the hunt proceeded I'd still be cheering.
Andrew: I get your point and I thank you for taking the time to explain it. That is very kind of you. I will keep what you said in mind.

Serges' fx for the multiple hints bug has been fixed. Thanks for everybody's honesty in not overly abusing this.

I encountered a different glitch today. I completed a task but the mission did not update, and I don't remember who gave me the task in the first place.

Meant to add: so I didn't get the clue I earned.

ShaggyMia, so do you never have "Finish task for Waitress..." under missions on your detective page? Or did it just disappear this time? Hate to hear that :(

Does anyone know: Can the Nemesis interfere on the Sleuthania?

Good question - I'd like to know the answer too. It's been a while since I took a trip on the old rustbucket :)

Hi Jellybean, the task did show up in my "missions" list before I completed it. But after I completed it, the mission didn't update. It completely disappeared from my list, so I wasn't able to get the clue even though I'd completed the task and just had to return to whomever gave it to me to get the next clue.
I sent a bug report, so hopefully they will figure out a way to help me get the clue. *fingers crossed*
