Tough and charming

I am a tough and charming detective, I was wondering if any tough and charming detectives out there can tell me if it would be more beneficial for me to choose to either go down the tough or charming route, or if i will be able to find gear that enables me to stay as a tough and charming detective through my cases. I am currently wearing gear that has a + tough and + charming adjustment so that during my case i can decide to either intimidate or charm. I am consious though that as the game gets harder i will need to be carrying a more + tough or +charm adjustment so that the people dont clam up.

My dear Emily you will go either tough all the way or charm all the way. Never ever mix them. After your 2mio points mixing can be an option (and still is not the best until yr 4 mio points).

By the way all the items you have on you are wrong items. Your items must be either totally tough (with maybe a bit of smart) or totally charm (with maybe a bit of smart) depending on the ability tree you follow

thank you all for your replies. yoyo i have read the thread and its very interesting. I am going to stick with both and see how it pans out.
