It is rumored that the ornate palace gates of Shangri-La have finally been opened to the public for the first time in known history. The Prince is making his debut into the public eye with a brilliant gala hosted by the Prince himself: an exclusive invitation-only event attended only by the most prominent and affluent people from countries all over the world.

Some commoners have been invited to this rare event--but not as guests. The Prince's most trusted advisor has particularly collected special operatives to patrol the event: the world's brightest, swiftest, and most skilled. You will be entrusted with making sure that everything goes off without a hitch. But there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames, along with the Prince himself.

Five minutes before the event is scheduled to start, a report of a most alarming nature reaches the operatives' ears. There has been a breach in the ranks. Some spies have infiltrated the group! But since they have never seen each other's faces, there is no way to tell whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure the Prince's gala goes off without a hitch. If he is pleased at the end of the night, they will be rewarded handsomely. Sources say he is forgiving of small mishaps, but when pushed too far...

The Prince's reputation is at stake. Will his gala be a phenomenal success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Whew, you people stay busy while I'm working ;)

So firstly, apologies for not being as heavy a participant in this game as I have been in the others thus far. Its been an INSANE week at work for me, and I'm in a bootcamp class after work every day this week as well so not even generally home.

To explain my no vote in the last round of voting: I think the fact that I was the ONLY one who voted no says it all. The only person I'm sure is not a spy is me. I don't trust the little information posted so far in regards to others allegiances because its entirely based on believing what the people who had the cards posted, namely that Andi clears Serges (and both could be spies) and Vulkie clears Adam (both could be spies). There's no reason one way or the other to believe either over the other.

I'm finding the voting patterns in this game INCREDIBLY weird and unexplainable. My vote of no makes sense to me, because as long as I know I'm resistance, and I'm not on the team, I know there's more of a chance that the others on the team are. The fact that all four spies voted yes just convinces me I was right to think so. I'm relieved that Serges No Confidence'd it, even though I think his reasons for doing so are a little murky.

I'll have to put some more thought into who I'd propose for a team. I'm pretty sure Jason would be on it though, because he's actually PLAYING the game. That in and of itself implies he's not a spy this time around.

The results of the vote on Vulkie's MISSION 2 Proposal are in.

Vulkie proposed a team of:
-Vulkie3
-Adam Carter
-Molly Maltese
-nicnic

This mission proposal has been REJECTED by a vote of 6-4. The votes are as follows:

Serges NO
Molly Maltese YES
Adam Carter NO
Vulkie3 YES
Kagome_70 NO
Andrew Corelli NO
Andiyana NO
Jason Arends YES
nicnic YES
biggie528 NO

The next leader on the list is Kagome_70. Kagome may now make her proposal for MISSION 2, TEAM 3.

However, since Molly has the STRONG LEADER ability, she has the right to step in and use it to take leadership BEFORE Kagome posts a team. Otherwise, the game will proceed with Kagome.

Or Molly... because we know that Serges wouldn't put two spies on the same team, perhaps he threw a hypothetical out there with two spies on it knowing that we would know he would never put two spies on one team?

Molly. I think you may want to use your Strong Leader card here.

I think what is happening with the votes is the spies are glomming onto what others are saying and just voting with what they think will be the majority. That's what I think.

Molly if you use your strong leader. Adam and Vulkie are up after you so worst case scenario is we put through one of the two previous proposed missions which in my mind is better than anything else that could be put out there.

Thats what I was thinking. However, even if I used my Strong Leader card here, I don't realistically think any of the combinations I'd go for to try to make some headway would stand a lasting chance, and we've only got two proposals left to make before spies win by default! I'm afraid to use it just for it to be voted down.

When we get to mission 5, the Resistance HAS TO vote Yes on the mission or we lose the game. If you use Strong Leader, and you get rejected and so does Adam, Vulkie will be fifth and I'm assuming proposing the same mission that just got rejected.

Alright. I think I'll play it. I'm leaning towards making Jason Arends the fourth, but I'm okay with Vulkie as well. Either way the fourth will be checked. Preference?
