It is rumored that the ornate palace gates of Shangri-La have finally been opened to the public for the first time in known history. The Prince is making his debut into the public eye with a brilliant gala hosted by the Prince himself: an exclusive invitation-only event attended only by the most prominent and affluent people from countries all over the world.

Some commoners have been invited to this rare event--but not as guests. The Prince's most trusted advisor has particularly collected special operatives to patrol the event: the world's brightest, swiftest, and most skilled. You will be entrusted with making sure that everything goes off without a hitch. But there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames, along with the Prince himself.

Five minutes before the event is scheduled to start, a report of a most alarming nature reaches the operatives' ears. There has been a breach in the ranks. Some spies have infiltrated the group! But since they have never seen each other's faces, there is no way to tell whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure the Prince's gala goes off without a hitch. If he is pleased at the end of the night, they will be rewarded handsomely. Sources say he is forgiving of small mishaps, but when pushed too far...

The Prince's reputation is at stake. Will his gala be a phenomenal success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

I don't want to speak for Adam but the fourth person had to be random. And Adam already said he would use the IN THE SPOTLIGHT card on them so they have to post their action publicly so it really doesn't matter who he chose.

That being said, it seems that Jason is probably Resistance. Because he a really bad spy. Like really bad.

I find it random because Jason Arends is almost at the end of the player order, while it could have been reasonable to choose the next leader, and right now it's a little weird to label Vulkie3 and/or Kagome_70 as spies without evidence (the argument was that Vulkie3 choose to clear Adam Carter instead of Kagome_70, but if Vulkie3 would have used the card on Kagome_70, it could have been more suspicious, right? it sounds confusing, while our only weapon is the information).

If the previous mission means something, we can win, it's just that all those accusations makes me paranoid and I'm never sure I'm doing the right choices, even knowing I'm not supposed to trust anyone.

I chose Jason Arends for the 4th mission place for a couple of reasons. Firstly, he's rather low on the order, so if things go to plan for the resistance he probably won't get a chance to make a team up, which is good for us if he is a spy. Secondly, i wanted someone who hadn't been mentioned thus far. If you discount those who got cards, and those who made up the teams for mission one, and you, Andrew, as Serges contemplated giving you a card, we are left with Biggie, Jason and Kagome. I had already proffered the suggestion that Kagome was a spy, and I know from personal experience that Biggie can lie through her teeth if she needs to. We only need to look at the last game to see that. So, I picked Jason, knowing that I could hamstring him with the IN THE SPOTLIGHT card so he either let us pass, or hung himself out to dry.

Oh, and a third point. Jason is a bad spy. I mean re-he-he-he-he-heally bad. So bad that I wouldn't have been surprised if he just gave himself up ahead of mission 1 to save himself the embarrassment of saying something to implicate himself during mission 1. I actually think I remember reading in the scriptures that the day Jason Arends makes it through a campain of The Resistance as a spy without "outing" himself is the day mankind as we know it will cease to exist. So I think we are quite safe ;)

Just to clarify though Jason, you voting sabotage in the open in this round isn't tricking me. You'll have to try *much* harder than that.
