It is rumored that the ornate palace gates of Shangri-La have finally been opened to the public for the first time in known history. The Prince is making his debut into the public eye with a brilliant gala hosted by the Prince himself: an exclusive invitation-only event attended only by the most prominent and affluent people from countries all over the world.

Some commoners have been invited to this rare event--but not as guests. The Prince's most trusted advisor has particularly collected special operatives to patrol the event: the world's brightest, swiftest, and most skilled. You will be entrusted with making sure that everything goes off without a hitch. But there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames, along with the Prince himself.

Five minutes before the event is scheduled to start, a report of a most alarming nature reaches the operatives' ears. There has been a breach in the ranks. Some spies have infiltrated the group! But since they have never seen each other's faces, there is no way to tell whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure the Prince's gala goes off without a hitch. If he is pleased at the end of the night, they will be rewarded handsomely. Sources say he is forgiving of small mishaps, but when pushed too far...

The Prince's reputation is at stake. Will his gala be a phenomenal success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Jason, I don't think he sounds reasonable, understanding, or rational at all. Because in my head, being a Resistance member, Adam's moves were completely 100% what he should have done. And knowing that he is going to play his IN THE SPOTLIGHT card on you and knowing that I have the KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON YOU card... well if this next mission fails we'll have outed at least one spy. If you post on the board SUCCESS and the mission fails, I get to use the card to see either Molly or Adam's vote. So I'll know which one sabotaged it. And I highly doubt the spies would intentionally vote succeed on this mission and make it 2-0 for the Resistance because that would almost ensure a loss for them. So worst case scenario is this mission fails but we out at least one spy in the process.

Somehow Serges is not on board with this. Strange...

OK I really need to go to bed now, BUT OMG OMG I just realized what Adam was saying. Serges' whole justification for giving Andi and Vulkie the cards he did was to get "new" players into the game and he chose Andi over Andrew because he knew her better and he was also going for players that were higher on the list.

Umm.... if I recall correctly... Adam Carter has never played this game before, has he? And he was #3 on the list of mission proposals. And no offense to Andi but if my memory serves me correctly Adam and Serges have a long history of "knowing" each other to the point of Adam acting as Serges' legal counsel on many occasions.

*hyper*

So Serges, mayhaps you can explain why establishing confidence with Adam Carter, whom is new to this game, and whom you know extremely well outside of this game, never crossed your mind?

Also... that should have been who not whom. I can't vouch for my grammar at 6:00 am.

I also want to address this post from biggie that I missed earlier:

"Nic is smart enough to know that if she didn't put the same amount of insanity into this game as the first, she'd be giving herself away in two seconds."

Tis true. I can't deny it. And in the event I am a spy, I will be doing the exact same thing or I would be outed in a micro-second. Unfortunately... as much as I had hoped and crossed my fingers and held my breath before reading my PM from Riza, I am not a spy this time. My hope is one day in this game that I am a spy and biggie is also a spy and I'm pretty confident we would kick ass and take names. :-D

Hell yeah nic!

Well just have to settle for kicking ass as resistance members, like we did in the first game (once you learned the error of your ways)!!

Adam Carter has chosen to keep IN THE SPOTLIGHT for himself.

Adam has chosen to give his STRONG LEADER ability to Molly Maltese.

Adam has chosen to give his KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON YOU ability to nicnic.

***

Mission 2, Team 1
Team Leader: Adam Carter
Team Proposal: Adam Carter, Molly Maltese, nicnic, Jason Arends

It is now time for the rest of the team to vote to either approve or reject this mission proposal.

When you do vote, please send me a PM stating "Mission 2, Team 1: YES or NO."

Feel free to discuss.

Kinda curious why Adam would choose Jason, from whom we do not know yet if he's a spy / resistance... It's a bet, but it's a heavy risk... I'll have to make my mind up on this one though..
