It is rumored that the ornate palace gates of Shangri-La have finally been opened to the public for the first time in known history. The Prince is making his debut into the public eye with a brilliant gala hosted by the Prince himself: an exclusive invitation-only event attended only by the most prominent and affluent people from countries all over the world.

Some commoners have been invited to this rare event--but not as guests. The Prince's most trusted advisor has particularly collected special operatives to patrol the event: the world's brightest, swiftest, and most skilled. You will be entrusted with making sure that everything goes off without a hitch. But there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames, along with the Prince himself.

Five minutes before the event is scheduled to start, a report of a most alarming nature reaches the operatives' ears. There has been a breach in the ranks. Some spies have infiltrated the group! But since they have never seen each other's faces, there is no way to tell whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure the Prince's gala goes off without a hitch. If he is pleased at the end of the night, they will be rewarded handsomely. Sources say he is forgiving of small mishaps, but when pushed too far...

The Prince's reputation is at stake. Will his gala be a phenomenal success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Hang on, misread it... It's a "fictional", not yet confirming answer... or is it a confirming one though... interesting

I voted no. Don't even need to see what Andi says. It's the first mission proposal, and I'm not on it. Not gonna get my vote.

Jason,

"However, we'll take me and Andi out of the equation for this mission proposal, since the Resistance "usually" wins mission 1 anyway. I'll propose a team of:

Molly Maltese (next leader to propose)
Vulkie3
Adam Carter

Reason being, if Vulkie was lying about Adam, then they're both spies and in an awkward position in this mission.

Once Andi clears me, mission 2 will be that much better off. "

Jay didn't put himself on the team, because he's Resistance, and the goal here is trying to suss out who isn't. I mean, you've done this before and I'm new... but that seems obvious even to me. I'm voting yes, because I'm verrry interested in seeing how Vulkie and Adam play their hand here.

I didn't put myself on *this* team because like I said earlier, Mission 1 usually goes to the Resistance since the spies are hesitant to tip their hand early. Also, I knew people wouldn't vote for a team with me until Andi had something to say about my allegiance, which I believe she did above. So rather than hold up the proposal, I took Andi and me out of it, since we were the wild card information at that point.

And now we have Andi explaining why Serges didn't put himself on the team....

BTW Andi.... it is extremely unusual to propose a mission and not put yourself on it if you are Resistance. Because if it gets sabotaged you are completely in the dark. If you are on it and it gets sabotaged, you can narrow it down to two people.

Bull poop. The first mission only has three people on it. The later teams make it harder for the Resistance to win because it's four and five people. If the spies can win the first mission, they put the Resistance at a disadvantage going down 1-0 right off the bat. When it's three completely random people with no information, you aren't necessarily "tipping" your hand unless someone else on the mission is confirmed Resistance by one or more of the other Resistance players.

Also, I knew people wouldn't vote for a team with me until Andi had something to say about my allegiance, which I believe she did above. So rather than hold up the proposal, I took Andi and me out of it, since we were the wild card information at that point.

I thought you said you would never vote for a mission 1 proposal if you are Resistance unless you are on it. Yet here you go and propose one without you on it. Everyone is a wild card at this point. Not just you and Andi. And if you are Resistance and so is Andi, there are only 4 other Resistance members left. You think you picked three out of the four of them randomly?

And why in the world did you not take the OVERHEARD CONVERSATION for yourself? Yea... NO CONFIDENCE is powerful in the hands of the spies (maybe that's why you kept it) but don't you think it would be more powerful if you as a Resistance player found out the identity of someone else in the game? Like the next mission leader?

Serges is a spy. And so is Andi. And if you are, I am confident that Adam is Resistance.

Dammit... I'm doing it again. I really really really wanted to be a spy this time. grrr...

Also, I'm sorta screwing around, but I'm sorta not. I'll see what happens, but I don't like this Mission 1 chain of events by Serges one bit. :-D
