Hey all :) Bored today and was thinking about all the cool stuff I would love to see implemented in the game to make it better and more interesting.

Wouldn't it be cool to have a place to have the VH clues so you don't have to worry about missing one or running out of bio space to post them?

I'm curious what everyone else would want if anything were possible. What would you like to see in Sleuth?

(Maybe Ben is listening! ha)

hehehe
My dear Detective Autumnsprings aren't you a bit overeacting?
I really see no reason why you are so touchy.
Yes this post is about new ideas and this obviously means proposing and discussing them. Are you against the discussion part ? Please help me understand as i really find it difficult to follow you.

SS yes i like yr ideas (and i can only hope that saying so will not make Detective Autumnsprings touchy again) conserning the car and the new look of the agencies. Maybe this is also a good way to spend our sleuth money.

What i would really like to see in Sleuth is a way to make all these xp points and gold a bit usefull

Detective jroepel excellent idea concerning the new city. I really don't care what this city could be....simply a new city will add a lot in the game. World fair is also a nice idea that i forgot to mention

No I'm not against discussing them. Constructive criticism is a wonderful thing. Destructive criticism, however, is not. And that seems to be the crypts specialty. I'm only saying if you poke holes in people's ideas, it is better to offer ideas to fix the holes you reveal, or offer a whole new idea that circumvents the holes. I see that you have finally contributed a suggestion to this thread! Thank you! That's all I was saying. I don't feel people should always tear down others, and in several threads that's what VC tries to do. (At least that is how it appears to me. For examples, look at Jason's new competition thread, or SS's thread about the eagle pin. Instead of thanking SS for something HE doesn't even celebrate, and doesn't benefit from at all, you say it should have higher stats, etc.) To be clear, I AM NOT TRYING TO START A FIGHT. I put that in all caps, because I want everyone read it. I'm not. Truly. This is just something that I have noticed since my return, and it gets old after a while because you know who the naysayers will be, and that they will offer nothing in the way of a suggestion to fix problems. I'm simply saying VC is very good at finding potential problems with ideas (and I'm not being sarcastic. That is something that benefits the entire community.) I would just like to see some of the ideas VC can come up with. They obviously will see any weaknesses and therefore, should be able to come up with even better ideas to suggest for the community.

I sincerely hope an argument isn't about to break out here. VS is just trying to be a soundboard for peoples ideas and may i add that if it were NOT for a few people being MY soundboard my contest wouldn't have gotten along as far as it did. It was a little idea and it needed a lot of tweaking to make it go from an idea to a good idea. So i dont think VS or Vampirion is trying to rain on anyone's parade here, they're just pointing out loopholes so that an idea becomes tweaked into a good idea. Amber/Autumnsprings we're all friends here so lets not turn this thread into petty bickering. Lets all play nice and keep the ideas coming, the sleuth gods might take a look so lets be on our best behavior.

And Justin i love your ideas about new cities and what you said:

"Jason's idea of a World Fair is amazingly cool. It is perfect for the time period we play in. Magicians, Vaudville, new inventions, a vision of the future... "

^ Dude that's just awesome, i wasn't even thinking that far, i just wanted to think about fair food haha! Good idea though.

Amber do NOT drag my contest into this, for the record i found VS and NQ to be very nice and helpful. If it weren't for them and cfm and biggie my contest wouldn't have gotten as far as it did. I just had an idea pop in my head and thanks to a few people hearing my idea and helping me by being a soundboard i was able to work out the kinks, lets play nice children.

VS, your last post was posted while I was writing. That kind of post was what I was thinking of while writing mine. :)

Jason, I think VS and I are both acting with decorum. The only one who seems intent on a fight breaking out is you, my dear. And I wasn't dragging your contest into this. I was pointing out other examples of what I was talking about.

Yes Amber im so clearly gearing for a fight by asking people to stay civil. You caught me. And yet i get a strange feeling that had i not stepped in to try to be a voice of reason there would have been less pleasantries to be found here.

Moving along with another idea, along with a worlds fair, wouldn't it be cool if there was something more interactive around Halloween? Maybe a little trick or treating with the townies?

I propose Nuuk, Greenland.

+ cost to travel random 6-12 cases depending on the ice flows.
+ totally white map & icons.
+ you have to hover over every building to find it.
+ you can only enter a building if you are wearing snow shoes and polar bear repellant
+ if you stay in the city for too long without solving a case you get hypothermia and have to be air-vacced to London.
+ new charm skill 'Just for the Halibut', where you use the local 'fish dance' to charm a suspect to lead you through the snowstorm to a missing suspect.

Just my initial thoughts.
