Once again, turmoil is brewing in the underground crime world of New York. The city is slowly being taken over by La Cosa Nostra, the New York underground mafia. They are recruiting members at record numbers and they can be seen in every night club and bar scaring away customers. And now Joseph Hollis, the High Philosopher of the Order of Socrates, and mayor of New York, has learned of a secret plan by his rival faction, La Cosa Nostra, to go on a crime spree and make off with money, valuables, and ultimate control of various establishments in New York.

Mr. Hollis, being not only concerned with the livelihoods of the patrons of his city, but also with his rival faction gaining too much power, has decided to put together a team of trusted Order of Socrates resistance operatives to foil the plans of La Cosa Nostra. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of attrition lately, and certain people have been going to the highest bidder to offer their services as a spy working from within the Order of Socrates. Joseph is aware of this and he's put together the best possible team he can think of, but unwittingly will be inviting some spies for La Cosa Nostra to his team of operatives.

As long as the loyal Order of Socrates operatives can figure out whom amongst them is untrustworthy, their mission should be a success. But if they trust the wrong people, La Cosa Nostra will succeed and cause severe damage to the New York economy, while gaining enough power to take over the city.

Will the mayor and his team be able to restore order to New York? Or will the underground mafia, take over the city's resources? That's for you to decide in this version of The Resistance: Order of Socrates Restores Order

Mission 5: First Nation Bank

Mayor Hollis was fervidly trying to deal with the aftermath of an Eastern Triads leader in his town. It was a mess to put it bluntly. The Eastern Triads wanted to exact revenge and the Circle of Light were taking their side. A faction war was brewing and Mayor Hollis was doing everything in his power to quash it.

Just as he got off the phone with Victor Chen from Dies Arcanum Brotherhood, a note came across his desk. For La Cosa Nostra's grand finale, they were planning a heist on the bank. The reasons that this needed to be stopped were blatantly obvious - there was well over $20 million in the bank's vault belonging to the businesses and residents of New York - and this would not only cause a severe economic impact, but would also fun the mob for the imminent faction war.

Mayor Hollis passed the information along to his chosen team of operatives, hoping they were able to stop this and save New York.

Ms Helen is the leader for Mission 5.

Mission 5 will consist of FIVE team members. Only one SABOTAGE is needed for the mission to fail.

Mayor Hollis gave the team leader three special advantages to distribute to whom he sees fit. They are:
- NO CONFIDENCE - Receiver of this card can veto a successful vote on a mission proposal causing it to fail and forcing leadership to change.
- STRONG LEADER - Receiver of this card can steal the mission and automatically become leader of the mission.
- TAKE RESPONSIBILITY - Receiver of this card can take an ability away from another player, and give it to themselves.

Ms Helen should now distribute these abilities to other team members or keep one for herself.

Ms Helen please feel free to assign these abilities whenever you are ready.

There's 14 pages of reference material Serges, I'm sure you can sift through and find some of the answers you're looking for.

No one has any evidence but their word, including you guys.

As for volunteering to sit out, I'm more than willing to do that. But that means taking a chance on at least three, if not more, unknown entities. If you and I are both out, that means there's almost for SURE a spy on the team, whichever one of us turns out to be a spy. So, no, I'm not willing to say sit me down, because that's exactly what you want me to say.

As to why you guys gave me powers, I couldn't tell you. Maybe you thought since I believed you, I was safe? Maybe you thought I was pretty? I dont even remember who gave me what, to be honest. And since two people verbally copulated all over this thread (yes, one of them is me haha), I don't much feel like going back to read it.

And also waiting for Nic ;)

No Biggie. In that case, nicnic proposed the team. She was Resistance in the previous game.

What's being said here is that if one of the spies gets to be the leader in any mission, specifically the first two, that spy would never choose another spy into his/her team.

That's ... kind of... the whole point.

SO I repeat my question. ASK YOURSELVES: Could chance factor be something strategized by spies to win a game?

Please think about it.

Okay ive lost count of how many pages of paragraphs ive skipped, (emma's right about the donkey's thing) All i can say is on the last game played when illicit and i were on a team and she sabotaged and i did not, there was absolutely NO pre-planning on that move between her and i, *i* voted sucsess there and *hoped* that because she wasnt new to the game like i was that she'd know to vote sabotage and i left it to her, it was COMPLETE luck and chance that she voted that way, I may be clueless, i may be stupid but guys one thing i am not is a cheater. Call me anything else want, but you cant call me that. So everyone lets keep the 'short' replies, well...Short?

OK Ms Helen, time for you to PROVE you're Resistance. (This oughta be good...)

You've got "NO CONFIDENCE". Boy, that kind of needs to end up in a spy's hands, doesn't it? So, give it to ANY of the following (don't care who): Illicit, Riza, Cekuray, Molly. That'll help "prove" you're clean.
You've got "STRONG LEADER". Again, that card really helps the spies force 5 failed missions doesn't it? Give it to a different member of the above group. Again, don't care who.
And, "TAKE RESPONSIBILITY". That one lets someone take the other cards you gave away, or Marc's "NO CONFIDENCE". (not counting Opinion maker here, since it's kind of a sucky power) So, give it to a THIRD member of that group.

You, of course, will not do that, because then the spies lose a lot of power. And on the off chance you do to "clear" yourself, then well, the spies lose a lot of power.

There's 2 camps here: The "Serges and Eden are spies" camp, and the "Biggie/Helen/Jason/Marc are spies" camp. So, give the powers to the other 4 people. At MOST, one spy would get a power that way.

Your move, Helen.

screwed up the logic in the last paragraph above:
Edited:
There's 2 camps here: The "Serges and Eden are spies" camp, and the "Biggie/Helen/Jason/Marc are spies" camp. So, give the powers to the other 4 people. At LEAST, one Resistance member would get a power that way.
