Once again, turmoil is brewing in the underground crime world of New York. The city is slowly being taken over by La Cosa Nostra, the New York underground mafia. They are recruiting members at record numbers and they can be seen in every night club and bar scaring away customers. And now Joseph Hollis, the High Philosopher of the Order of Socrates, and mayor of New York, has learned of a secret plan by his rival faction, La Cosa Nostra, to go on a crime spree and make off with money, valuables, and ultimate control of various establishments in New York.

Mr. Hollis, being not only concerned with the livelihoods of the patrons of his city, but also with his rival faction gaining too much power, has decided to put together a team of trusted Order of Socrates resistance operatives to foil the plans of La Cosa Nostra. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of attrition lately, and certain people have been going to the highest bidder to offer their services as a spy working from within the Order of Socrates. Joseph is aware of this and he's put together the best possible team he can think of, but unwittingly will be inviting some spies for La Cosa Nostra to his team of operatives.

As long as the loyal Order of Socrates operatives can figure out whom amongst them is untrustworthy, their mission should be a success. But if they trust the wrong people, La Cosa Nostra will succeed and cause severe damage to the New York economy, while gaining enough power to take over the city.

Will the mayor and his team be able to restore order to New York? Or will the underground mafia, take over the city's resources? That's for you to decide in this version of The Resistance: Order of Socrates Restores Order

*And my mission was sabotaged. How will Serges and I know which one of us was going to sabotage it if we don't PM?*

Ask Jason and Illicit. Because it happened with them last game, and they were not communicating. Sometimes things just work out right, lucky breaks (such as you two with the cards, Serges going first in the game, etc) do happen quite a bit.

Because you two aren't garden-variety idiots. You can't spout off numbers and maths and probabilities and very good analysis throughout the game and then turn around and blankly shrug and say "I'm stumped how we would manage THAAAAT."

Drop the bambi act. We already went over the power of suggestion in your posts. Two people like you and Serges being completely unable to read between the lines- thats not a good enough argument for me.

I'll keep it short here, since Biggie's grandstanding has taken up HALF this thread.

I voted NO for the last mission. The one the spies ultimately won.

Marc kept "No Confidence" for himself, which at this stage in the game is only powerful in the hands of a spy.

Biggie had to vote in the open on mission 3, hence the "SUCCESS".
Jason also gave her a power in mission 2.

Ask yourself... who's trying to confuse people this late in the game... me, or Biggie? The spies' biggest asset is paranoia and confusion, and she KNOWS this is her only chance at pulling out a victory.

I'll make everyone a deal. I'll ask NOT to be put on a team for the 5th mission, as long as Jason, Helen, Biggie, and Marc all sit out as well. That takes 3 people who were in the last failed mission off the table, and 2 people that were in the first failed mission.

The team needs to be Eden, Illicit, Riza, Cekuray, and Molly.

Let's see if Biggie would fall on her sword like that without recommending Marc, Jason, or Helen be on the team.

One last thing. Yes, I've played this game. Yes, when I'm a spy, I'm a damn good spy. But I'm also a REALLY good Resistance player. It's not every day the Resistance IDs all 4 spies by the 4th mission, people. DO NOT LET THEM CONFUSE YOU.

I'm really afraid the spies are going for the 5 rejections in a row gambit, so the voting from here on out should be simple.

Resistance, If you're on a proposed mission team, you should vote "YES". If you're not, you should vote "NO". With me being off the table, there's NO reason someone should vote for a mission that needs the other 5 resistance members unless they're on it. Marc has No Confidence, so we can't let more than a couple bad mission proposals happen here.

Molly, don't fall for it dear. Please. The spies only need one of us to question each other to win at this stage.

Since Serges and Eden are spies, we can safely say that Ms Helen, Marc an myself are not. Since Eden is the one who outed Jason as a spy, his allegiance could definitely still be resistance.

That means that out of the people Serges proposes to go on this mission, more than likely at least two of them are spies. Eden, for one, and maybe one other.

SPIES:

Serges
Eden
Jason?
???

Don't take any chances people. Seriously.

Resistance should also realize that in the 5th mission 1 sabotage vote will be enough to fail the mission!

We had to know who these guys were, because if the game wrapped around 5 people would have to be in the mission and we still didn't know who the rest of the spies were before the least mission.

We only suspected it, we had to know so that not one of them gets into the eam in the next mission.

THIS MEANS: If resistance is to win a game it will be only by going through this procedure anyway.

We had to identify them at some point, and we did this when we had the advantage!

You guys are pretty lucky that the other two spies haven't been identified yet. Because now you'll sneak one onto the last team no problem.

Sigh.
