Once again, turmoil is brewing in the underground crime world of New York. The city is slowly being taken over by La Cosa Nostra, the New York underground mafia. They are recruiting members at record numbers and they can be seen in every night club and bar scaring away customers. And now Joseph Hollis, the High Philosopher of the Order of Socrates, and mayor of New York, has learned of a secret plan by his rival faction, La Cosa Nostra, to go on a crime spree and make off with money, valuables, and ultimate control of various establishments in New York.

Mr. Hollis, being not only concerned with the livelihoods of the patrons of his city, but also with his rival faction gaining too much power, has decided to put together a team of trusted Order of Socrates resistance operatives to foil the plans of La Cosa Nostra. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of attrition lately, and certain people have been going to the highest bidder to offer their services as a spy working from within the Order of Socrates. Joseph is aware of this and he's put together the best possible team he can think of, but unwittingly will be inviting some spies for La Cosa Nostra to his team of operatives.

As long as the loyal Order of Socrates operatives can figure out whom amongst them is untrustworthy, their mission should be a success. But if they trust the wrong people, La Cosa Nostra will succeed and cause severe damage to the New York economy, while gaining enough power to take over the city.

Will the mayor and his team be able to restore order to New York? Or will the underground mafia, take over the city's resources? That's for you to decide in this version of The Resistance: Order of Socrates Restores Order

My vote to this mission depends on two things.

Marc, I'm just curious why you gave the other "Keeping A Close Eye On You" card to Biggie, who is not fully "cleared" as Resistance, rather than say Eden or Illicit, or even keeping it for yourself. Not accusing, just want to know the mindset.

Biggie, if this mission passed, what would you do with your power?

I know you're not OBLIGATED to answer me, but I'd like to know to figure out where everyone stands :)

I agree with Serges on the curiosity to grant biggie that power. It could be used in the hands of another trusted resistance member to aid that cause, Biggie is at best a wild card. I find it statistically improbable that all 5 people on this team are Resistance, because I would be the 6th and something just doesn't sit right with this line-up. Am I just being paranoid?
and therefore that makes me suspicious because if one or more of these are a spy, why are they so gung-ho for the mission? Does it make it possible that there are two?

Maybe I'm just jumping at shadows...but...

Voting No (do I sound like a broken record yet?)

I subscribe to Molly's post, me being the 7th Resistance. Something is wrong and I was wrong to vote YES for the mission so quickly.

* If Marc was a Resistance who suspected Biggie was a spy, he would not give the card to Biggie.

*If Marc is a Resistance member who suspects that Serges and I or either one of us are spies, then Marc would not have given the card to Serges either.

*If Marc suspects that I am a spy, but Serges isn't and gives his cards to Serges and Biggie, then this is totally ridiculous because Serges and I mutually confirmed that we were both Resistance not because we had a hunch, but because we used our cards on one another. Anyone who trusts Serges will trust me because Serges says so. Likewise, anyone who trusts me will trust Serges because I say so. An if and only if situation.

->Marc, therefore, is likely to be a spy. His past votes also lead us to think that he is.

So I am asking the same question: Marc why would you give that card to Biggie?

Eh..I knew no matter what choice I made, it seemed like it would cause some kind of suspicion. That or I'm just being paranoid.

I gave that card to Biggie because Serges even said, evidence indicates that she's resistance. Yes I did suspect her before, and I even suspected Eden. But just suspecting doesn't mean you're always right. If you guys give me a chance and vote yes, I really believe this mission will be successful for the resistance. I admit, that when I posted this, I realized it probably wasn't the smartest of choices on how to divide up the cards.

I realize I should have given Serges or Eden the No confidence card. I just ask to give me one chance.

As far as my past votes go; well, that's just taking a shot int he dark. I don't always know who is voting what. When I vote yes, you all vote no, and when I vote no, you all vote yes; which would lead you to believe I'm a spy.

I like this mission and am voting yes. I feel fairly confident that we're all resistance (except for Marc who I know nothing about) and once we win this one well wrap it up for the resistance!

I probably won't need the card at all. I'd be shocked if I did.
