Once again, turmoil is brewing in the underground crime world of New York. The city is slowly being taken over by La Cosa Nostra, the New York underground mafia. They are recruiting members at record numbers and they can be seen in every night club and bar scaring away customers. And now Joseph Hollis, the High Philosopher of the Order of Socrates, and mayor of New York, has learned of a secret plan by his rival faction, La Cosa Nostra, to go on a crime spree and make off with money, valuables, and ultimate control of various establishments in New York.

Mr. Hollis, being not only concerned with the livelihoods of the patrons of his city, but also with his rival faction gaining too much power, has decided to put together a team of trusted Order of Socrates resistance operatives to foil the plans of La Cosa Nostra. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of attrition lately, and certain people have been going to the highest bidder to offer their services as a spy working from within the Order of Socrates. Joseph is aware of this and he's put together the best possible team he can think of, but unwittingly will be inviting some spies for La Cosa Nostra to his team of operatives.

As long as the loyal Order of Socrates operatives can figure out whom amongst them is untrustworthy, their mission should be a success. But if they trust the wrong people, La Cosa Nostra will succeed and cause severe damage to the New York economy, while gaining enough power to take over the city.

Will the mayor and his team be able to restore order to New York? Or will the underground mafia, take over the city's resources? That's for you to decide in this version of The Resistance: Order of Socrates Restores Order

Serges, I agree with almost everything you have said so far, except this:

"I'm leaning personally toward her being clean, because again you don't want to intentionally put 2 spies in a mission like this."

That's what logic normally dictates, but Biggie's tendency to think 2 spies -in the 1st and 2nd missions- could exist in a team in which the leader, as she suspected, was already a spy, raises doubt.

If there is one spy in a team, that spy can always sabotage the mission. But given that spies know one another, to suspect that

1. Serges would choose me into his team (whereas he could choose 2 resistance and relying on their not knowing one another, he could then sabotage the first mission)

2. and thus waste his card on me even though he knew I was a spy

3. and that when it was my turn, I'd do the same thing and render us spies impossible to sabotage it (because we can communicate by using this board only, both of could have sabotaged it and then we'd not only have a zilch chance of winning but we'd have been revealed)

is kind of irrational. If this is to be considered as some potential strategy to win the game, then I must say it's a self-sabotaging one and all the time I have tried to emphasize this.

I might be wrong but I still have my doubts about Biggie due to aforesaid reasons.

lol it seems I forgot that I started my post addressing Serges... I wish I could pick this previewing habit that everyone other than me seems to have :)

I don't think you guys are spies anymore, probably. But I'm not SURE of anything.

There's a certain strategy to doing things illogically like you illustrated above, if you're a spy. Serges, being as familiar with this game as he is, and as diabolical as I KNOW from experience he is, I wouldn't put anything past him. Likewise, you seem very well versed in this game as well. If this is your first time playing, you'd never know it.

That was the primary reason I was suspicious of you two in the beginning. However, I did agree that Jason and Helen are most likely spies, which is why I wouldn't pass the last mission.

K, that's the problem. It doesn't matter how cunning one could get.

That strategy would lose you a game anyhow. I could agree with you if Serges wasted the 1st mission to establish trust.

But we had the same team+ Illicit in the 2nd round, and there was 1 sabotage vote.

No one, no matter how experienced they are, could guarantee that there be 1 sabotage vote and not 2 on a team consisting at least 2 spies like you suspected. It'd kill the game for spies. What you're saying is nothing but gambling. If there were no sabotage votes this round too - and I don't even want to write that scenario and give ideas lol- then I could see your point: that the team's predicting players' thoughts.

And this is the first time I am playing this game. I liked it too much, so I'm too much into it. That's all :)

Sorry guys. I messed up. I should have said this first:

Biggie has the strong leader card, so if she wishes to play this she can transfer leadership to herself.

Biggie has chosen to use her STRONG LEADER ABILITY.

Biggie has made her mission proposal.

Mission 3, Team 2

Team Leader: Biggie
Team Proposal: Biggie, Eden Zweig, Molly Maltese, Cekuray

It is now again time for the rest of the team to vote to either approve or reject this mission proposal.

Because both Cekuray and Ms Helen have the OPINION MAKER, they must post their votes here on the message board, as opposed to PMing me. You may wait to vote until these are posted.

When you do vote, please send me a PM stating "Mission 3, Team 2: YES or NO"

I know I don't have to make my vote public however I feel that I should explain why I am voting no. I am not comfortable voting for a mission that includes someone who voted yes on the last mission.

Biggie, you're putting at least 2 unknown people on a pivotal mission in the game. 3, if you're looking at this from an outside perspective like mine.

Highly HIGHLY suspect. The Resistance probably needs this mission to pass to win the game, since mission 5 is so tough to pass. (I assume Mission 4 will go to the Resistance, needing 2 spies to fail).

You trust Eden enough to put him on the team, but not the person he cleared (me)?

Not happy with the team, not happy with the use of strong leader here; pretty convinced now that Biggie is a spy. Jason probably put her on the mission to attempt to make her look clean since he knew it wouldn't pass.
