Once again, turmoil is brewing in the underground crime world of New York. The city is slowly being taken over by La Cosa Nostra, the New York underground mafia. They are recruiting members at record numbers and they can be seen in every night club and bar scaring away customers. And now Joseph Hollis, the High Philosopher of the Order of Socrates, and mayor of New York, has learned of a secret plan by his rival faction, La Cosa Nostra, to go on a crime spree and make off with money, valuables, and ultimate control of various establishments in New York.

Mr. Hollis, being not only concerned with the livelihoods of the patrons of his city, but also with his rival faction gaining too much power, has decided to put together a team of trusted Order of Socrates resistance operatives to foil the plans of La Cosa Nostra. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of attrition lately, and certain people have been going to the highest bidder to offer their services as a spy working from within the Order of Socrates. Joseph is aware of this and he's put together the best possible team he can think of, but unwittingly will be inviting some spies for La Cosa Nostra to his team of operatives.

As long as the loyal Order of Socrates operatives can figure out whom amongst them is untrustworthy, their mission should be a success. But if they trust the wrong people, La Cosa Nostra will succeed and cause severe damage to the New York economy, while gaining enough power to take over the city.

Will the mayor and his team be able to restore order to New York? Or will the underground mafia, take over the city's resources? That's for you to decide in this version of The Resistance: Order of Socrates Restores Order

Forcefully?

What I consider forceful is when claims are made without rationale. So I repeat my justifications because... I am still asking why, lol.

Jason has chosen to keep his NO CONFIDENCE ability.

Jason has chosen to give the STRONG LEADER ability to biggie.

Jason has chosen to give OPINION MAKER to Ms Helen. For the rest of the game, Ms Helen must post her vote whether to approve or reject a mission on the message board before the voting results are revealed.

Jason Arends has made his mission proposal.

Mission 3, Team 1

Team Leader: Jason Arends
Team Proposal: Serges, Eden Zweig, biggie, Jason Arends

It is now again time for the rest of the team to vote to either approve or reject this mission proposal.

Because both Cekuray and Ms Helen have the OPINION MAKER, they must post their votes here on the message board, as opposed to PMing me. You may wait to vote until these are posted.

When you do vote, please send me a PM stating "Mission 3, Team 1: YES or NO"

I'm voting no...too many spies on that team as far as I can see.

So Jason, a spy, keeps No Confidence for himself. I was afraid that would happen... it puts the spies in better position to force 5 failed missions.

He gives Opinion Maker to Ms Helen, a spy, under the guise that she will have to "reveal" herself. Opinion Maker is a comparatively weak power, so he's just "forcing" it on her to keep us unsure of her allegiance.

And he put Strong Leader in the hands of Biggie, which honestly, sort of implicates her as a co-conspirator.

But, he also put himself AND biggie on this mission together, which is a gamble at best if they're BOTH spies. So either she's Resistance and he is sowing seeds of doubt, or she's a spy and he's playing an off-beat strategy.

Let's face it here guys, if there was any doubt still. Jason put himself AND Eden in the same mission. Eden implicated Jason as a spy, which means one of 3 scenarios:

1) Jason is a spy, Eden is Resistance. Eden naturally told the truth about Jason, and Jason put himself on this mission to be able to sabotage it.
2)Eden is a spy, Jason is Resistance. Eden lied about Jason's allegiance, which effectively means Eden and I are both spies. The question here is, why would Jason (resistance in this scenario) knowingly put a spy on the mission team?
3) Eden and Jason are both spies. Eden told the truth about Jason's allegiance to keep himself undercover, along with me. That means all 3 of us are spies, and all 3 of us are on this mission, which is a HORRIBLE play for Jason, considering any or EVERY one of us could be implicated.

Naturally, option 1 is the only one that remotely makes sense.

The question now is about Biggie. Jason gave her a power and put her on his team. I'm leaning personally toward her being clean, because again you don't want to intentionally put 2 spies in a mission like this.

In any event, you can't vote this mission through. Even if you don't trust me, there's no scenario where Eden AND Jason are both Resistance. There is at least one spy here.

... and of course Ms Helen, a spy, will tell you she'd voting no. There's no downside for her. If it passes, she looks good and the mission fails. If it fails, that's one out of 5 needed for her to win the game.

Lawyered.

I'm voting no as well. I'm not taking my chances with jaden (that's my cutesy nickname for Eden and the Jasons. That's the name of my black sabbath cover band.

Serges'd!
