Suspect clamming up

I just recently started playing hard cases, and on one of my cases I went to ask a suspect a question and on the first question she clammed up. I attempted to sweet talk her but she still wouldn't talk to me, and I couldn't get anything out of her. Does this happen a lot?

It's happening more and more these days, Lucy.

One nice new feature to go with things getting harder is that if you go and ask the townspeople if they know anything about the case and they mention someone's name, that person will now be added to your suspect list. Then you can ask that person about others with a motive and build up your suspect list "through the back door," so to speak.

Also, getting those Sweet Talking levels up as high as you can and wearing the most charming gear you can will help you, too.
