I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I don't know why I get the feeling that Illicit, Jason and Molly should wipe that ''Busted'' sign over their faces... :)) Hardly saying anything our dearest Molly.
In fact, I realize now that Jason and Molly were playing from the beginning this game together, him asking for her hamming here on the board and Molly playing along saying a lot of non-concludent things (her supposedly being a resistance operative). Also, I don't remember Jason openly accusing Illicit of being a spy. Maybe I am mistaken. Molly started to be ''helpful'' just after I wrote here that she should at least act as a resistance if she pretends to be one. :)
Special K, I promise I will look in this thread the passage I am reffering to, about you admitting to be a spy, but, in case I am mistaken, I apologise. :)
If you are resistance, your effort of playing this game right, to the end of it, even if all took you as a spy from the beginning, is appreciated. If nicnic's theory is right, you helped a lot in this game.

Jason, you just keep saying that we should not put biggie in the mission cause it will fail. What about the other 2 names? If you are resistance, you should add 2 more names here. You just have this fixation with biggie. :) Doesn't seem wrong to you?

Cekuray, go back and read some of the things in this thread, assume in your mind that Special K is Resistance and Jason, Illicit, and Molly are the spies. Things that didn't previously make sense, now make sense. I read Molly's "help" post from the other day where she did her analysis opening up my mind to the fact that Special K was not a spy, and Jason and Illicit were both spies. I had the same reaction Special K had when she read it. OMG Molly is the third spy. She very purposefully eliminated Jason from suspicion and tried to point the finger to Danny Mack being the third spy (Special K and Marc being the other two) which was not even feasible because Danny wasn't on the mission that failed, and neither were Marc or Special K. So if she really did an "analysis", how could she possibly come to this conclusion?

I finally broke down and made a spreadsheet. I know I have a problem and I'm getting help, so hold the comments ;-)

But it confirmed what I said were the only two possible scenarios.

There are only a handful of combinations of people that can be the spies based on mission results.

I know me and Danny Mack are Resistance because her identity was revealed to me.

For all intents an purposes I am going to eliminate the two scenarios involving Cekuray because quite frankly, if he is a spy, we will never figure out exactly what is going on and the game is already lost. In addition he hasn't done anything worthy of suspicion to this point. Those two scenarios are:
- Cekuray, Illicit, Special K
- Cekuray, Molly, Special K

There are another two scenarios that I consider unlikely and I'll explain why. Let me know if you disagree:
- Jason, Illicit, Special K: We all trusted Jason and pretty much had him pegged as Resistance, so Special K just needed to sit back, pretend to be indignant and let us move forward with our mistake and lose the game. She didn't do that. That's why I don't think this scenario is likely.
- Illicit, Molly, Special K: This scenario is more likely, but like the above, Special K was the first one to point out that Molly was the third spy, when most of us were posting we thought it was Marc. Again she could have very easily sat back, let us make our mistake, and then win the game.

That leaves us with the two scenarios that I think are the MOST likely:
- Jason, Illicit, Molly

OR

- Special K, Illicit, Marc

And based on everything that's happened and the six pages of text I posted ;-) I really think the answer is the former.

If it's true, Special K owes me. If it's not true, Imma kill her :-D

I voted yes on this mission. I think it's the right one. Cek or Danny if you disagree, you both have NO CONFIDENCE cards and can play them and I will go with the majority on what you guys think.

Also, Cekuray for the record, Special K never admitted she was a spy. She said she KNEW Jason and Illicit were spies, which she would because on the first mission between her and Jason, one of them voted SABOTAGE. If she had voted SUCCESS she knew for a fact that Jason was the saboteur. Which also means that Illicit was a spy because she lied about his identity.

Its established if you know you're resistance and you're not on the team to vote down the team, so im not just being difficult, im voting no for that too. *puts fingers back in ears*

Oh Jason, too much protesting ;) You're starting to give yourself away here. The obviousness is right out there for everyone to see. "Yep im lost and Im just voting no on principle from now on". Funny how that happens when you're up for a vote of the five people you know aren't spies. Principle = spy in this case. Also, Cek is right, if I'm a spy, who are the other two? You're very focused on just me (are you flirting with me? haha)

Nic, I think its cool you did a spreadsheet. I don't think you have a problem <.<

PS I might owe you if you believed me from the beginning. ;) Right now, it'll just be a big I TOLD YOU SO ;)
