I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

Yeah, I voted yes but as a person on the mission team and as a member of the resistance, I voted SUCCESS.

I don't think those results get revealed do they?

I sent a PM to Serges with the vote as well and I think is wiser to send the votes like this. I'll explain after this mission is over.

Wait. Why did Special K vote Yes to that mission? Now I think the game might be over right now.

I voted no at first, then changed it. I voted yes because there has to be TWO saboteurs on this mission, and I believe there's only one.

MISSION RESULT:

The team set forth to the Imperial detention center to rescue their captive allies. The plan was simple, but exacting. Jason had to jam communications outside of the detention center, Cekuray was tasked with rendezvousing with Resistance sleeper agents to secure credentials and uniforms, Danny was there to deploy strategically-placed gas grenades to knock out Imperial guards, Nicnic would hack the electronic security system releasing the prisoners, and M. served as the lookout and all-important getaway driver.

Cekuray snuck onto the detention grounds, retrieving ID badges and uniforms. He deployed them to the rest of the team, and they took up their positions. Jason used an EMP device to disable outgoing communications, seeming to the casual observer like a maintenance worker. Once signals were down, Danny planted the gas bombs at the internal guard posts while Cekuray distracted any incoming Imperial forces at the gate, bumbling as a rookie entrance guard. The bombs went off, and suddenly all Imperials were out cold. Nicnic disengaged the prison doors for the Resistance operatives, and they all made it to M.'s awaiting laundry truck without raising a suspicion...until it was far, far too late for the Imperials to do anything about it.

MISSION 4 IS A SUCCESS! (Game tied 2-2)

You are now free to discuss this result, as I set up the fifth and FINAL mission in the game. Will post details later today.

ROUND 5 (Game tied 2-2)

In this round, here is the mission information:
Cekuray is the leader. He is about to receive two abilities that he must distribute to players in the game (including himself if he chooses) before the mission can begin.

Those abilities are:
"NO CONFIDENCE": Whoever receives this can, after a mission proposal has been successfully approved through voting, force that proposal to fail. This would move leadership to the next player.
"KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON YOU": Whoever receives this can, before the mission result is posted, find out privately what a particular team member chose, either "SUCCESS" or "SABOTAGE". (personal note: this ability is sadly failrly useless in Round 5...)

Cekuray, the choice is yours; who will receive these abilities?

THE FIFTH MISSION:

The Resistance successfully freed their allies, but naturally Imperial forces were quickly able to determine that the Resistance was responsible. They're planning an all-out assault, based on intelligence gathered from a weak-willed prisoner who sold out the Resistance during his imprisonment and torture. The assault, you've learned, is targeting YOUR cell.

Worse, the Resistance high command has sent a message stating that 3 of your team are being re-assigned to a new cell, in order to ensure that all Resistance eggs aren't in one basket, so to speak, if the Imperial attack succeeds. You will have to choose 5 people to stay behind and defend your HQ. If the Imperials capture your HQ, they will assuredly use the information they collect to destroy the Resistance completely.

But there is hope; the Emperor himself is going to be present at the planned raid, in order to secure his public perception as all-powerful leader if the raid succeeds. What he doesn't expect is that you'll be ready for him, and have set up a clever trap. If you can hold the HQ for long enough, his assassination is ensured, and the Empire will FALL.

It's all or nothing, players. Succeed and the Resistance wins. If, however, this mission fails, the Imperials will win the day.

But, if you can't decide who will stay and defend the HQ, then Resistance high command will be forced to keep everyone behind, ensuring that any spies are in prime position to break the Resistance once and for all. If 5 proposals are rejected, the Imperials will win as well.

This mission will require 5 team members to stay behind.

VERY IMPORTANT: This is the FINAL mission, and ANY SABOTAGE will mean victory for the Imperial Spies. The Resistance will need to ensure that no Imperial Spy makes it onto the mission team!

Cekuray, once the abilities have been passed out, you may propose the mission team. You may put yourself on the team if you so desire.
I await your decisions here.

OK. So out of the three people who did not go on that mission, two are spies. The three people that didn't go were Special K, Illicit, and Molly.

That does seem to confirm the theory that Special K and Illicit are spies. Personally I think the third is Marc.
