I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

and Nic, have you ever given serious consideration to the idea that you might be wrong about me? :)

I'd start giving that some thought. Because I'm also pretty sure that you were "SURE" that the last team didn't have a spy on it.

Nope

"I'd start giving that some thought. Because I'm also pretty sure that you were "SURE" that the last team didn't have a spy on it. "

Wasn't SURE. Still thought Illicit could be a spy, but that was the only way to find out and the probabily of it succeeding was higher than just selecting a different random team to go. 'Specially if you were on it. ;)

I'm trying really really hard not to make a spreasheet, but I'm not sure my willpower is strong enough.

This is Danny Mack, don't have much time to re-login.

I want Molly or Illict to have the opinion maker card. I am happy to hear thoughts on this.

Basically, the spies know who they are. So they know I am resistance. I have to decide who else I think is resistance to give the establish confindence card too.

I need to think on this. I've been at work all day and I'm on a 5 minute break before I get back to work.

I'll try to be on again in a few more hours with my answers.

In the meantimes, let me know whose vote you want to see with opinion maker.

Reading over what happened again. I actually think it's Cek that is the spy. I think I want to give him the opinion maker card.

Like, I said, I will hear your thoughts.

I think I want to give Jay or Nic the Confindence card. Let me hear your thoughts.

And K, you know I love you. But I do think you're a spy. If you're not, I'll buy you a vodka.

Ooh! Cards! I love cards! I'm curious as to the point of the Opinion Maker card though...because everybody sees what you voted on to reject or accept the mission anyway...so isn't it kind of like...*waves hand* superfluous? I'll take it though, I love presents. :)

Danny, I just don't think that Cek could hide it that well if he were a spy. I'm pretty sure it's his first time playing and if he is a spy, he's playing this extremely well and hiding it really well. Everything he is saying is logical if he is Resistance. Next time around, I wouldn't be trusting him at this point, but because it's our first game I would assume that the spies wouldn't be able to play like that considering no one really knew how to play (except Illicit).

I mean Special K is a spy. And look how she's playing compared to Cek. Special K is just throwing random crap out there that no one believes. LMAO. Cek actually makes sense and has been following a good strategy if he's Resistance. Special K as Resistance makes NO SENSE though given her erratic behavior ;-)

Also... give ME THE CARD. I wanna trust you.

*just saw thing about Cek*
Oh. Well that works too. Actually thats an interesting spin, Danny. I didn't really give much consideration to Cek, but there is a distinct possibility there.

As to Confidence Card, both are good choices. We've pretty much solidly established Jason as Resistance at this point- at least from where I stand, ya'll may feel a little different- but I definitely think he is. Therefore, I think we could trust him to tell the truth about Dannys allegiance- or at least keep that knowledge as Resistance.

Course Nic is a good choice. She is the obvious, vocal leader. I just feel like, if its Cek thats the spy on the mission- and there is that alarming possibility, then Nics camp is pretty shaky. I don't know, and its pretty down to the wire.

I feel like with the spies ahead, I'd rather go with that which is established and true, and that in my eyes is Jason. I'm curious to hear others weigh in!
