I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

Not necessarily Special K, because who says that Danny Mack or Marc aren't spies too? We have no info on them. So you could always blame it on them.

Let me ask you this. Why didn't you propose Cekuray since you already said you didn't think he was a spy? If you really are Resistance, you could have proposed you, me, Cek, and maybe Danny. That would have made more sense :-P

If you are Resistance are you saying you think that me, you, Cek, Danny, and Marc are the Resistance team?

Nicnic, babe. Doll. Sweetheart. Lovemuffin.

We aren't going to GET those missions completed if the people calling the shots really have no real concrete inkling of who the spies are. You've accused everyone in the game already. You really want to tell me that you have 3 suspects who you would stake your life on, one of them being myself? Lord in heaven woman. Haha.

Molly... Special K obviously thinks you are a spy too if we are meant to believe she is Resistance.

So stop rolling your eyes at me :-P

-rolls with more aplomb-

You and your bandwagon mates just got done accusing Special_K up and down of being a spy for most of this game! Now she's resistance? Because...why? Cause she says so?

*pinches bridge of nose*

I would like to state for the record *sotto voice* that there is one absolute troublemaker in every game, and this game, ladies and gents...well, that would be me. ;)

No Molly, I have no concrete inkling of anything. We have a few pieces of information that are concrete (considering I don't think we can put too much value in the votes):

- At least one of Special K and Jason Arends are a spy

- A mission consisting of Me, Cek, Illicit, and Jason Arends succeeded.

- If Jason Arends is a spy, so is Illicit because she named Jason as Resistance with her card

Using all of this information, I am fairly confident that Jason Arends is not a spy. Because if he is a spy, that means both he and Illicit voted SUCCEED on the mission when they were spies. Which in and of itself is probably pretty unlikely considering we can't coordinate outside of this board. And it wouldn't really make sense because if the spies won that mission the Resistance would be 2 in the hole and would have little chance of winning after that because we would have to put through 3 perfect missions through.

This isn't wild speculation.

I AM Resistance. The reason behind my choosing Danny and M. is because I don't believe them to be spies. I had cekuray in there originally, but changed it to Marc because I think we should get an idea on the quieter people.

But I'm sure of Jason and Illicit, and I suspect someone else, but I'm not saying anything about that person until I'm more sure :)

biggie... the Resistance pretty much has to win this mission. If this game goes to 5 missions, the last mission has to be perfect. It has to be made up of all 5 Resistance members. So we can't let a mission go through just to test the waters at this point. We have no info on Marc or Danny except what they posted on the board.

And I think you are a spy LOL.

That being said, for this next mission, I am not going to vote Yes and I would encourage others not to vote Yes unless of it consists of the exact same team that went last time and succeeded. It's the best shot we have. And if it fails, we know Illicit is a spy and move forward from there.
