I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

CLARIFICATION ON "STRONG LEADER":
When this ability is used, leadership moves to the person who used it. The leader to follow them will be the person who follows them on the player order list. In other words, "STRONG LEADER" moves the leader "icon" on the player order list.

For instance, if Special_K used it now (which she can't since Molly has already assigned abilites as leader), she would be the current leader. After her, M. Lacrimosa would become leader, and so on and so forth.

Just wanted to make sure that was clear for everyone now that the ability is in play.

OK players, now it's time to vote on the proposed mission.
Molly Maltese has elected to send a team consisting of:

(Mission 3, Team 1)
Special_K
Illicit
M. Lacrimosa
Nicnic

Feel free to discuss this proposal on the board, but your vote must be submitted via PM to me. Your PM should state Mission 3, Team 1, and your vote of "Yes" or "No" to the proposed team.

With 8 players, a mission proposal will need 5 "Yes" votes to pass. If 4 or more players vote "No", then the proposal is rejected and a new leader will propose a mission team.

I don't want to have to put a time limit on voting, so please get your votes into me once you've had a chance to consider the proposal and any arguments presented in this thread.

No need to discuss that one. LMAO.

So I take it that Molly is now our second confirmed spy? Besides Special K.

Leaning strongly towards Marc being the third.

Molly... there's no way you're not a spy love. After the last mission passed with four team members, if you assume they are all Resistance, and you are the fifth, you would have proposed only people from that team plus yourself. But you proposed two people who weren't on that mission meaning at least one of them is a spy (from your perspective). You also gave a special power to someone that a bunch of us are already convinced is a spy.

So how am I being hasty Ms. Hari? ;-)

You are being hasty, darling. Look at your very wording. "If you assume..." "A bunch of us are already convinced..."

But do we know 100%? Are we certain beyond a doubt- would we stake our lives on it? Or are we so eager to win the game that we pounce like deranged cats on any shadows that move, only to find the culprits are casting shadow puppets on the walls from a great height?

The very conclusion that you immediately jumped too upon my selections shows you're hasty. I chose these people, so I must be a spy? Haha. I won't tilt my hand, because I'm not entirely sure of your allegiance, although your monitoring thus far leads me to believe you are most likely resistance...but I said I would shake things up. If you're too linear, its easier to evade. If you hang back, do the unpredictable, the bad guys can't necessarily predict your next move. Its easier to trip someone up that way. I have clearly tripped you up with these selections. I would caution you that you haven't already tripped yourself up somewhere previously, and it isnt spiralling out of control.

Besides, come to think...you really ought to give me some credit here, that would be a PAINFULLY obvious move.

Molly... if you are resistance you aren't supposed to be tripping anyone up. The only people you can trip up are your own teammates. The spies already know who is who. It's not like we can trick 'em. :-)
