I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

Nic, you confused me. I thought we were supposed to vote no. So I did what you said. But now you voted yes? I have a feeling this *is* a case of the lay doth protest too much.

Right now: I think Jason and Illict are resistance as is Cek and Molly.

I think Biggie and Nic are spies which leaves M. Lac as a spy too.

Please pay no attention to Jonny and Emma's child.

LOL Danny. I was on the fence. And I only voted yes because I know I have a card that can veto the yes vote.

In one sense you are right... the resistance probably should vote at least a couple down so we can see voting patterns and try to gather information. I think maybe if I didn't have this card, I would have voted no. But because I know I can trump a Yes vote, I just went with yes for the time being if we feel comfortable sending it through.

I'm not a spy. You guys have no proof that I am and not every leader HAS to go on the mission. I admit my choice was not the smartest choice and in all honesty its only the first mission. For all I know the two that voted no on the first one are spies.

Ok I just want to make a quick apology. I lost my temper over something ridiculous with my last post. So I'm sorry you guys, for that. Let's move on with the game.

Jason is the spy people. I'm TELLING you! When have I ever not been trustworthy?

you know who else isnt trustworthy? Illicit since she clearly lied about Jason's allegiance. Which means we only have one more person to figure out.

I would say M., but I'm afraid he'll get angry again ;)

I'll tell ya what.... everything I am doing is going on the feeling that Special K is a spy.

And I've thought this ever since the first vote.

Before we voted the first time, Special K was UNCHARACTERISTICALLY quiet. And then just went ahead and voted yes without ever posting anything. That seemed weird to me. And then the mission went ahead and failed.

Now Jason could have failed the mission... BUT if he did that, that means that he and Illicit are both spies because she lied about his identity. Now here's the question..... if Illicit were a spy, would she REALLY pick Jason's card to be revealed to her knowing that he was a spy too? It's a way to try to trick everyone else and "clear" his name, but it's also very dangerous. If Jason gets busted as a spy, Illicit goes down with him. And my proposal was all about that. If this mission goes, and it fails, we know for an indisputable fact that Illicit is a spy and she will never go on a mission again. So the move to read your own spy-mates card seems to have more downside than upside.

For these reasons, and with all the information we have at the moment, I am currently thinking Special K is a spy and Jason is resistance (no matter how strangely he may be playing this).
