I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

And Nic, I agree. I think we could learn a ton. Unless of course you and Cekuray are the spies, and you're trying to throw us off the trail.

On the other hand, Jason IS a spy, so if he's on this mission, it will fail. As a proud member of the resistance, I don't think going down 2-0 in the game is gonna help us win. No deficits!!

If Cekuray and I were spies, why were we the only two to vote no to the very first mission which obviously had spy(s) on it? Makes no sense.

Well Jason, considering you were half of a team that failed a mission, either you or Special K are a spy. So you shouldn't really find it unusual that people would be suggesting you could be a spy. If you are actually Resistance you are the only one of us that knows FOR SURE that Special K is a spy. So why aren't you trying to convince all your teammates of that so the Resistance has a chance to win? Eyeing her suspiciously, doesn't exactly lead me to personally believe that you know for a FACT that Special K is a spy. It shouldn't be a suspicion. At this point you KNOW. So as I said before, you really aren't pleading your case very well here if you are Resistance and want your teammates to trust you. :-P

I think I've figured out how I plan to vote on this mission now.

With 8 players, a mission proposal will need 5 "Yes" votes to pass. If 4 or more players vote "No", then the proposal is rejected and a new leader will propose a mission team.

I don't want to have to put a time limit on voting, so please get your votes into me once you've had a chance to consider the proposal and any arguments presented in this thread.

I really don't know how we (The Resistance) even have a chance at winning the game when half the people playing aren't even posting anything. LOL.

I guess I will lose my competitiveness and just watch to see what kind of mess this turns into :-D
