cannot get anyfurther in this case . lacking research skill. could this be the problem? i have one piece of physical evidence, but cannot get any wittnesses to say anything else. please help. thank you

have a look at the 'sleuthtips' website for noir at:

http://noir.sleuthtips.com/

on right hand side menu you will see 'featured mysteries' and 'murder in manhattan' is one of them. it will guide you through :)

Hmm... I followed the link to see what on earth I might be missing, having reviewed the intro, visited the mansion, and clicked on every item on the map. I saw that at http://noir.sleuthtips.com, there's an option to "visit Mildred." That option is not open to me -- in fact, there are *no* options open to me. Is this because of my chosen skills, or is this possibly a bug in the site?

Hmm I was going to say try Research... coz in Scripted Mysteries Rsearch is usually opened by the author so anyone can use it regardless of whether they have it or not... but since you have research, you've probably used it. There is one instance of need inf to use Research inMurder in Manhattan.

Mildred becomes available when you ask Lucas: Do you know anyone who might've had a reason to kill your brother?

Thanks Secret_Squirrel. I ended up solving the issue by restarting my browser (after first, stupidly, quitting the mystery). Then, happily, I could visit the witnesses/suspects and follow through to the conclusion.

Sleuthtips page is no longer up, can someone help pls? I've spoken to everyone but whenever I go to the bank to check on handwriting it takes me right to login page.
