Everybody has had mentors and hero’s throughout the years in this game. Someone who has touched your life in such a way that you’ll never forget them. Private moments shared that nobody knows about, but you’d love to tell. Though some acquaintances have been brief they are note worthy of mention. Then there are those ’s who are “Celebrities” in our eyes. “Legendary Detectives,” who not only affected you, but everybody that knew them, and yet their presence is still felt, though absent from the message boards. Great detectives retired or no longer active, but missed. Well, lets bring memories to life by paying tribute to them.

Without a doubt my two hero’s are the King and Queen of Sleuthsville, Ben and Sunny Ringold. From the first day I joined Sleuth, I was honored by their presence and through the years formed friendships. One great memory I have was when I called Ben and Sunny at their home one evening, all upset and crying. I was in a panic and in desperate need of their help. You see, after I left the first agency I joined here to start my own, one of the members left to join mine. I done everything I could to discourage her to go back, but she wouldn’t hear of it. This resulted in ill feeling against me. I started receiving hate mail from one of the directors, which soon turned X-Rated. The language was so defensive, I became an emotional wreck. Desperate and crying I called Ben at home. I’m sure when he answered the phone he didn’t know what to think of me, but he was kind and assured me that he'd check into it and see what he could do. Well, all I know is the harassment stopped and I was grateful. Through the years I have often thought about this and it's kept me smiling. By the way, if they didn‘t think about getting an unlisted phone number, they should have. *Wink*

Well…I guess the way Sleuth affected my life the most was by ending up having my wife shouting at me: “That kid forgot he has a father!!!” She was joking of course…the kid does remember my name…sort of…if he tries hard enough…anyway, let me get back to the subject.

Even though I’m not exactly a much too friendly individual…actually friendly people scare me to death to be frank…there are few folks around this joint that I had an unexpectedly pleasant time exchanging thoughts with…hmmm…maybe “thoughts” ain’t exactly the right word for me…using it would involve the act of thinking on my side…but I’m drifting away from the subject once again.

So, I’d like to start by naming the same ctown28 who at one point in time proved to be sort of a beacon of sanity for yours truly. I’m quite sure he’ll be the only one understanding what I said here, but that’s quite enough for me. Sort of an explanation would be that sometimes…well…quite often actually I feel an urge to walk down dark alleys. I probably enjoy the feeling. When I go deep enough sometimes I start to wonder what the hell am I doing there. Well, it was in such a moment back in the day that ctown lit up a window to show me a friendlier perspective.

Next I’d like to name a certain Violet Parr with whom I had a great time on the RP stage. Now that’s one hell of a role player. Guess the gal wouldn’t drop the act if her life depended on it. Knowing her was indeed an interesting and provocative experience.

I’d like to continue with Miss Makensie Brewers, another valuable RP-er and a extraordinarily cheerful personality. The woman does however talk more than my wife. That ain’t a quality in my book, but it is for sure a world record, so I’ll pop a bottle of champagne for her! Cheers Mak!

Spaced out here. Moving on next post.

Next on my list…without the order being generated by the power of my feelings, is Vampiric Smile. Had a great time while being in his agency. He’s an…odd individual…a little dark…with an obsession for vampires and blood…hmm…I wonder what the hell I liked in him…oh yeah: his wonderful personality and exquisite sense of humor! Got a bottle of whiskey for him if he shows up again.

Another person that…sort of intrigued me in a good sense was Joseph Zeo. Don’t think I’ve ever met a more open and naturally optimistic figure in my life.

Getting’ sleepy here…there would be many others to name, so I’ll ask all of them to accept my apologies for closing my post here, but I’m quite sure they know who they are and why they have my appreciation.

Bane out.

PS: Don’t get me wrong, my wife’s a wonderful person and woman. I’m just a lucky punk with a generally filthy mouth.

I started Sleuth back in 2004 when Google lit the way here. Created my very first character under my real name and started playing. It was so much fun since solving the first case, and sadly, I couldn't subscribe back then since I was still too young. I really wanted to play more cases, so I ended up creating at least 10 detectives, each with different Archetypes. It was quite an addiction, playing cases and getting excited whenever I scored my contact. But as time went by, I got bored not being able to enjoy the full benefits of the game, so I left.

Last year in July, I found the game again surfing the internet, and decided to join in again as Majysticus. At first, I just played my given 4 cases, but this time, I wanted to enjoy the full benefits no matter what, so I asked a few people around whether it was worth it, simply because the community seemed dead to me. Night Queen was the first to reply, and ever since, has been extremely helpful. I had trouble subscribing due to Paypal problems, but she was patient the whole time. When I finally subscribed, I was immediately invited to join her agency: Vampiric Crypt.

Vampiric Crypt seemed very strange at first, and I didn't know what to expect. The first to greet me were the directors, Zweibel, Guiltfinder and Vampiric Smile, all who have sadly departed from the game. Either way, I've never felt more welcomed. They helped me gain new equipment, and even my very first apartment. VS was one of the most interesting characters I've met, and Zweibel always helped me out with my cases. Overall, it was the best agency I've ever been in, everyone was a great help and never had a problem that couldn't be answered. Then I decided to start over with a new detective because I messed up, but everything still went perfectly well in the Crypt.

Sadly, a few months later, they decided to leave the game due to personal reasons, and Night Queen and I were on our own. We felt the agency was dead, so we left and created Queen's Gambit. Fortunately, we were blessed with an extremely active agency, and through the dirty talk on barchat, I've come to make great friends in the community. A few names to include: Riza, Marc, Andrew, PumpkinKing, Lady Jas, and joyfuljones. You guys are awesome!

Except for Riza, who is...well...awe-some...thing.
Kidding, please don't kill me. :)

Overall, I've come to really love this game, and I'm glad it's slowly being restored to the live community it was back a few years ago. Go Sleuth!

“Be still my beating heart.” Wow, I can’t believe one of our very own celebrities has just graced my thread with his presence and I am deeply touched by what you said. If it were possible, I’d give you a big Texas hug. Chronestrian, you were always an energizing force in this game that made us work harder, play longer, and strive to be the best we could be, and a huge gap is felt when someone like you leave us. So, I want to honor you now with this title, “Chronestrian, King of Treasure Hunts.” This I can speak in behalf of Lady Jas, and all that know you, “We love you man.”

Hurry back:D ~ Debra~*HUGS*

I look forward to your return Noah:D

Joey, I couldn’t help but chuckle when I read your reply regarding people who scare you, for I was one of those people who saw you logged on one night and decided to give you a big Texas hello. Thanks for inviting me into your world, and your welcome to mine. I appreciate your kindness, as well as your encouraging words when I failed my first hunt. Thanks!
Synesence, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your help too. Your presence brings mystic to the game, and I know everybody loves you. Both you, and Night Queen, have intrigued me since the day I returned to Sleuth, and everybody is under your charms.
There are many others who were helpful to me during my 1st Villain Hunt, so on this 7th day of February, 2012, I DaRu, hereby honors these Agents, as follows, to-wit:

Aah, Joey, whether your help was a little, or a lot, what you said encouraged me to keep on trying. Since it was my first hunt, I saved all the messages from those who were helpful, so I could later thank them, and here's one of the messages you sent to me,

From: Joey "Bulldog" Bane
To: DaRu
Sent: Jan 17, 2012 - 16:13

Romania, and you?

Don't give up on the hunt. You'll like it when it ends and want more. They get easier in time...or rather you tend to get used to fighting for solving cases like a pitbull...hehe.

The really good shoes don't come from VH hunts, but only from Cairo University. You need to spend some skill points for them, but seeing your experience points I doubt you'll have a problem with that. Actually...VH prizes don't include shoes at al...so I hope you didn't have high hopes in this direction.

But indeed you can get good items from the prince and upon adding them together you'll really feel your pesuation power increase.

You see, you're being too modest, and your message came when I needed it, for I was fixing to quit. So because of you, and those mentioned above I did try again, and today I captured my first Villain, yeah..........thanks my friend!

Another name that was most helpful during my VH hunt, was you Sean King. I am going to add your message here, like I did Joey's, in case it's helpful information to new comers.

Hey, DaRu. Sorry, I was away for a bit. Larry the Toe won't help you with your VH, so ignore him. Keep going for the clues.

Therefore, Sean, your name belongs on my little Plaque, as follows:
