Have PE and fake alibi, but.....

no motive. I've asked all of the townie's what they no. All suspects have either clammed up, or didn't mention that this suspect had a motive. I've exhausted all of my skills (interrogation, research, etc.). I know who did it, but can't accuse him because I don't know his motive. Do I have to quit this case, or is there some other way find out his motive?

If everyone has clammed and the townies don't have any information, then I think you have to quit. If you were in an agencie, you could have a partner look at it, since they can sometimes get extra questions, but otherwise, I can't think of any workaround you haven't alaready tried.
