I already have 2 bad cases on my tail and I don't have $400 to pay the Shady Guy...is there anyway a player can borrow money? IOU?

Paradise, I suggest you try doing the new player tutorial again to help understand the game. Play beginner or easy level cases until you build up your money to pay the Shady Guy. Quit the case if you aren't sure that you have the right suspect. It just takes some patience at the beginning. :)

Paradise, I agree with Megan. I highly recommend reading the newbie message board and/or faq's for newbies. Personally, I like to write down everyone I have discovered and their alibis. Then I start to check those alibis out. If their alibi is real, I cross them out.
Remember you can always come back as a different name.
