I always thought that favor cases were NOT supposed to involve standings with political factions. Two days in a row, I have had favors where the politics were affected. The following is copied from my favor case:

Victim: Edwin Smit, age 36
Difficulty: Incredibly hard
Favor For: Shoe Maker
Politics: Order of Socrates (Positive)
La Cosa Nostra (Negative)

Please explain.

Sounds odd. Favours aren't meant to mess with Political Factions. :s If we get a raft of "WTFlipping Heck is going on's" I might poke the bear (read, ask Ben), but otherwise I'd just put it down to general once off game weirdness.

I just now quit this case in the off chance it would improve my standing with the Order of Socrates. IT DID!

Same thing just now. I just now quit this case in the off chance it would improve my standing with the Order of Socrates. IT DID 2 DAYS IN A ROW!

SS, I don't think this is a "once off game weirdness". I am going to now say, "WTFlipping Heck is going on?"

Okay, before we go there...Let me say...

Are you happy with the results? :)

First of all, we are there already.

Secondly, I am happy. But only because I am not involved in TH's. If political standings are now combined with TH's, then there is game imbalance.

Those in agencies active in TH's should not be happy about this.

It seems to only be happening with you:I haven't had this problem...

But yes, this needs to be looked at.

lol. I'll try get Ben to have a look at it. But at least it's not 'game-breaking'. Thanks for the update.

It happened to me too on the following case. I quit the case and my standing with the Circle of Light improved. This is just plain wrong since I am trying to also advance TH's!

The Byzantine Puzzle of the Exotic Crime
Victim: Erica Bai, age 24
Difficulty: Incredibly hard
Favor For: Fortune Teller
Politics: Order of Socrates (Positive)
Circle of Light (Negative)

It may be that the issue is with quitting the favor cases. I am sure most sleuths don't voluntarily quit favor cases. Of course even I run across one now and then I simply can't solve.

I just solved one where the standings were not affected involving the Eastern Triads and the Circle of Light. I didn't care about the politics, but I did pay attention to my standings.
