Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

I just played an identical case, with the difference that the uncooperative townie wasn't the librarian but the banker in New York. No need to say that I also quit. It would be nice if we had the necromancy skill which once existed in the now dead SOM.

I proposed the necromancy skill several times in the past. That you could learn it from a new faction in Cairo which would fall in line with the death cult of Anubis. And that the Fortune Teller would be the one to induce a seance. Alas, it always seems to fall in deaf ears so I gave up hope on that.

Gutted, i got covid and couldn't play for 10 days or so and I came back to find my poor dog was very poorly and that there was nothing I could do until she actually got sick and then had to fork out $100,000. Someone really has got to do something about this as I feel held to ransom that I have to log in every day and play even when it is not possible to do so. There has to be some over right function so that regular long standing subbed players are not penalised or I would be happy to just get rid of the pet. Perhaps one option is to get FAs and re start my detective so that I can get rid of this pet.

To pick up on an old thread (well this board isn't really fast anyway).

I don't know if you know, BadAss, but you can kind of stop people from dying on you if you open a tab in your browser for each suspect, and leave those open. That, way, you can keep questioning them and they will keep answering, works for hiding too.

I think the game does a RNG roll upon clicking on a name in the map interface, so as long as you don't "click again" on the name, you're safe from surprises. Please do note you can't resurrect people this way (I never tried it but as far as I tried, the game is impervious to tampering).

I think it would technically also work if you copy a suspect's URL and append an action to it (e.g.: motive.spy?id= XXXXX) before clicking on the suspect's name on the map. But where is the fun in that.

Should your conscience tell you this is wrong, I'd like to note that this actually speeds up gameplay too, you can just swap between characters using CTRL TAB. I'd also suggest installing the Snap Links Firefox addon, as it lets you select and open multiple links with one "dragging" mouse motion. If you do, please configure the extension in such a way that it does not overload the server, as doing something like this - on a bigger scale - essentially constitutes a DDoS attack.
