Have you just had your best day of Sleuthing ever? Solved your first AI case? Got your last contact? Picked up your first treasure? Found a spoon? Finally got into the Prince's Palace?*

This is the place to share the joy, have a 'woot' or two and be congratulated by your fellow Sleuths.

Or maybe you've just had to pay Shady enough cash to finance a small war. Or reached screaming point with the tailor in Delhi. Or been pirated twice in a row. Or fallen into a trap three times running. You can share the woe, too, and we'll commiserate. We've probably been there too.

Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

(* If you don't get the references, never mind. You could ask someone. Or you could just wait and see what the world of Sleuth brings you further down the line...)

The game forces you at times to quit cases for statistical purposes (I assume). I had a case with only 2 suspects at the start. The one that was supposed to give further leads clams up. I checked with the townies. The only name I got was the suspect that clammed up. Case closed and one more quit for the statistics. AI happy.

I don't think that happens for any particular purpose - it's just that the way the game operates means that it's a remote possibility, and extra coding would be required to rule it out. Happened to me once too. Very irritating!

On a happier note, I would like it officially recorded that I am finally free of Shanghai :D

The lag was horrible today. I started a case with a cup of hot coffee. By the end of the case the coffee already turned cold.

Agreed BadAss. The lag was something else yesterday - and today. Especially during furores. The screen *freezes* seem to last forever and going through the hall of mirrors is super slow motion because of that. I know it's not my PC because it's fine visiting all other sites.

I knew I should have played this game when tired. After sitting on 2 FAs for about 5 years I had a momentarily lapse of concentration and accused the wrong suspect. (I didn't have the money to pay shady).l lost 50k in cash, my coat which had been stats increased as I caught a nemesis (of all the equipment it took it had to be that one) and all of my contacts, which isn't helpful whilst on a villain hunt. Gutted!!!

How awful, Dreamcatcher. I'm so sorry that you have lost so much. But you can come back from this. I'm pretty sure some other detectives have and I hope they will post here.

If it were me, then after completing the current villain hunt I'd go back to doing simple cases and regaining contacts - all the while building up cash from favours.

Chin up - and best of luck : )
