Have you just had your best day of Sleuthing ever? Solved your first AI case? Got your last contact? Picked up your first treasure? Found a spoon? Finally got into the Prince's Palace?*

This is the place to share the joy, have a 'woot' or two and be congratulated by your fellow Sleuths.

Or maybe you've just had to pay Shady enough cash to finance a small war. Or reached screaming point with the tailor in Delhi. Or been pirated twice in a row. Or fallen into a trap three times running. You can share the woe, too, and we'll commiserate. We've probably been there too.

Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

(* If you don't get the references, never mind. You could ask someone. Or you could just wait and see what the world of Sleuth brings you further down the line...)

The game was hellbent on keeping me an extra day in Delhi. It threw everything at me. Clam ups, townies wanting bribes, multiple suspects referring to PE townies for alibis, unidentified pieces of evidence ... you name it. Yet I managed to solve 10 out of 12 cases. Only to be rewarded with repeat clues.

Well, very fruitful trip to Shanghai for me, from which I returned today. Got both my contacts, made friends with a sweet little dog (okay, not little, but still...) who gave me a lovely gift, and did pretty darn good at the racetrack - I'm up $65,000 overall. Alas, I'm back in London for a little while to recharge, then off to Delhi!

I wish Shanghai was as nice to me! I'm stuck there trying to do a favour for the tea merchant, and it feels like I'll never leave...

Cordelia, I feel your pain. Trying to do a favor for the barber in Delhi and it seems like he’s the only townie whose friends are being killed on a regular basis.

Oops. Double post.

But how odd is it a that so many townies are like, “You need this thing from me? Okay, I’ll help you out but ONLY after one of my friends is brutally murdered and you catch their killer!” Just once I’d like to ask about favors and get “Yeah, I’m moving this weekend have could use some help with the larger furniture. Swing by and afterwards I’ll give you this old map I’ve got laying around.”

Lol - exactly!

And then when you're busting a gut trying to catch the killer for them, they go and clam up on you...

“I need a favor, but I’m going to be generally unhelpful - you do the work.”

Actually... I’ve had that happen on furniture moving favors too.

The game forces you at times to quit cases for statistical purposes (I assume). I had a case with only 2 suspects at the start. The one that was supposed to give further leads clams up. I checked with the townies. The only name I got was the suspect that clammed up. Case closed and one more quit for the statistics. AI happy.
