Or maybe you've just had to pay Shady enough cash to finance a small war. Or reached screaming point with the tailor in Delhi. Or been pirated twice in a row. Or fallen into a trap three times running. You can share the woe, too, and we'll commiserate. We've probably been there too.

Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

There would be no slip-ups this time. Logic and determination are a powerful combination ... but to what end? Only the scribble-filled notebook of Melanie D'Lish - and a pair of Knuckle Dusters borrowed from Roberto Del Sid - could possibly tell. And one other "item" which remains a closely-guarded secret.

This was surely to be Speckled Jim's finest hour!

For all his bluster and bravado, the last thing to hit The Nemesis (before I slapped on the cuffs) was Speckled Jim's protective tin-hat.

Hiding in my coat-pocket, waiting for my signal, he was out of the traps like a flash and *thud!*.

"Get that rat off me! AHH my dose - he broke my dose!"

"Next time, try taking the safety catch off before you go pointing that thing around. And might I suggest that you stick to stealing fruit or something simple? Not that you'll be able to steal anything more than a glance at the sky out of your cell window. Tell you what, I'll even have Speckled Jim and some of his friends come visit. How does that sound?" I couldn't resist a big grin at this point.

"Your arrogance might be your only weakness but it's a pretty big weakness to have. That and a phobia of pigeons. Want me to reset your nose?" I asked politely.

The response has not been recorded in this diary for reasons of decorum, suffice to say that his ensuing instructions were entirely anatomically impossible. The "click" of the cuffs produced a most satisfying sound.

There was now other business to attend to and I needed a drink. The "clink" from the icecubes in my glass would be equally satisfying.

Ta Ta For Now.

Been getting SO many Secret Plans :D So many. So many, that I'm posting now to say that, for a change, I actually have a favour from a townie that's not my Contact!!! :) And I know that since I've crowed about this now, I'll get a Secret Plan task next from my dear old Nemmy, and it'll be like I'm dead to my Contacts. When I'd really really have liked it the other way around...
