Have you just had your best day of Sleuthing ever? Solved your first AI case? Got your last contact? Picked up your first treasure? Found a spoon? Finally got into the Prince's Palace?*

This is the place to share the joy, have a 'woot' or two and be congratulated by your fellow Sleuths.

Or maybe you've just had to pay Shady enough cash to finance a small war. Or reached screaming point with the tailor in Delhi. Or been pirated twice in a row. Or fallen into a trap three times running. You can share the woe, too, and we'll commiserate. We've probably been there too.

Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

(* If you don't get the references, never mind. You could ask someone. Or you could just wait and see what the world of Sleuth brings you further down the line...)

So I get up, go out to the back porch, open up the door, and out to the back yard, and find my next door neighbor sticking her head over our mutual fence.

"Hiya!"

"Oh hi!"

"Sorry bout them barking like that. They'll prob'ly calm down in a minute or so."

"Oh, it's all right. I just came out here to see what all the commotion was."

"Yeah, me too. But I don't see anything..."

"Oh! You didn't see it???"

"See what??" (Now there's a sleep-befuddled AND completely perplexed look on my face.)

"Oh, they were barking at the hot-air balloon overhead!"

O.O

" 'Scuse me??"

"Yeah, you shoulda seen it! It was really cool. But they went totally nuts when they saw it!"

O.O

So. I now apparently have the two most unintelligent dogs in the neighborhood. Who apparently cannot tell a butterfly from a hot-air balloon.

I need Tylenol. NOW. ;-D ;-D ;-D

Breit, some of us are extremely jealous of you. Where on earth (literally) do you live???? Its still snowing here in eastern Canada with no end in sight. My only solice is I live in Ontario and not further east.
(No offence intended to the the eastern provinces.)

Here, in my part of the world, is a beautiful day.
Sunny, but not too hot. Just warm. :-)

Sorry to be complaining about the weather here, Sophie. The sun has just been blinding me, and driving my head (and me ;-) nuts. If I could, I'd send it east as fast as I could, just for you. ;-)

I'm about a hundred miles (app. 250 kms.) north of San Francisco, California, USA. Most people think that we get non-stop sunshine in California, 365 days a year. But here in Northern California, we get (normally) 20+ inches of rain, and 200+ days of fog a year where I am (I'm in wine country). We even get the occasional snowstorm, believe it or not. ;-) So the past few days of constant sunshine are highly unusual for this time of year. And my head has not been appreciating it. :-/

But like I said, the migraine's fading, thank Somebody. ;-D

If that Tailor doesn't give me a favour soon, I will have to take drastic action - namely solve more cases until she does.

It's threatening to snow over here in the UK & still very cold but I guess it's very temperate in comparison to some places. It's not doing my health any good though.

Melanie, you could also arrange for one of her friends to drop dead and then approach her before the next sleuth does. That sound good to you ? :)

Meanwhile, look at my new shoes!

I think Lawlitettine's suggestion is a quite practical one.
They tend to come to us when their friends show up dead.

Terrible! I've been stuck in London for at least four days now with only clues pointing me south east of the detective shop. Sob, how about telling me the sex of the culprit...

Let's hope for message board magic, where as soon as you let loose a public 'aarrggh' that long-awaited clue turns up... :)
