Have you just had your best day of Sleuthing ever? Solved your first AI case? Got your last contact? Picked up your first treasure? Found a spoon? Finally got into the Prince's Palace?*

This is the place to share the joy, have a 'woot' or two and be congratulated by your fellow Sleuths.

Or maybe you've just had to pay Shady enough cash to finance a small war. Or reached screaming point with the tailor in Delhi. Or been pirated twice in a row. Or fallen into a trap three times running. You can share the woe, too, and we'll commiserate. We've probably been there too.

Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

(* If you don't get the references, never mind. You could ask someone. Or you could just wait and see what the world of Sleuth brings you further down the line...)

3 unsolvable cases - gonna have to quote Kurtz on that:

"Oh the horror! The horror!" Seriously, that's a very nice way of putting it, Summer. I might have had 3 cases left, indeed. I think I'd be banging my head on the keyboard(old Syn, lol) if that were to happen so I'd better shut up :))

And thanks for the encouraging words. I had no idea how first AVH's can go in general.

Oh this thread is gonna make me weep.

I made 3 fa's lol. I deserved this. I absolutely deserved to rot in hell. Gilbert deserted me.

400k xp deserted me.

12 skill points deserted me. (-8 now boohoo)

And all my contacts waved goodbye, it was so touchy as we were running towards each other in slow motion, and crying "oh no" like it came from a cd player with dying batteries.

Gilbert, I am going to find you!

Geez, what a day!

My condolences, Eden. At least you aren't required to get a face lift and new name any longer! I'm sure your agency mates will speed up your recovery and you'll be back to your old self soon.

Oh no Eden. What an awful day for you. I suppose it reinforces the lesson that if you have acquired 2 false accusations then you should get rid of them right away no matter what - even if it means selling everything, borrowing $$ - whatever it takes.

But don't despair - you can come back from this. The most frustrating things, of course, will be regaining contacts and having to put AVHs on hold for a while.

Btw who is Gilbert?

As we say around here! Never guess! Always better to quit cases than get an FA and have the scary risk of losing all that stuff mentioned.

Sorry Eden :( That's not fun, but you can start again at least and can get back to your old self. Just put your cases in the files for help from agency mates. :)

Oh, I do not guess. I guessed once or twice in this game(as Eden) and did so early in the game where I already had an FA and wanted to clean the record.

I know why I keep doing these mistakes but I cannot prevent them. For example: this time I had 11 suspects but I thought I had 10, thinking I already visited the fortune teller anyway. I finish cases too quickly, sometimes, and my memory fails me(meaning, what I remember is actually what I did in the previous game)
So, I won't check things because I am damn sure I checked them anyway. I try to remind myself that I am inclined to do that, but sometimes I forget to do that, too. Because checking things has never been my habit. In real life, I mean. That's my problem.

I think I was automatically booted from the agency the second I got retired. I son't want to trouble Queen with my presence. She's put up with this 3 times before. She'd probably pay for this, too. I don't want that to happen again.

I was waiting to finish the hunt, I was going to sell my prizes except the peacock and clean my record without having to borrow agency's money again.

Gilbert used to be my peacock, btw.

Oh no, don't be. It's something to be laughed at actually -except the time you spend- . If you could picture how addictive the game's become. My hand acting before my reaction time and all. I think I can picture myself playing graphic rpg games if I ever get to be 90 years old. Head stuck to the monitor, marry the computer, yay!

As director of Queen's Gambit. We absolutely stand by our members. Even when they make bonehead mistakes. LJ and cfm are correct--we in Gambit are eager and willing to help you bounce back. An invitation has already been sent to you.

Please come back. Just as you are. :)

Oh. Bonehead. Great.

Well, I definitely deserved that, too, lol. I think this brand new adjective may actually be the only thing to stop me from making mistakes. It's a natural ego-knock out.

But habits do linger and I am already in a lot of debt. Please check your PM in case you see this first.
