Looking forward to joining an agency. The Silk Merchant ( Shanghai) is my contact. Also, I am good with The Circle of Light (23).

Respectfully, I disagree. And any director may freely choose to run an agency any way they wish. But....

Having a member who is INACTIVE and UNSUBSCRIBED is anything but family-like or friendly. How can members interact if there is nothing there? It is like a name on a tombstone. You may have fond memories of that member, but you no longer have any social interactions.

I can understand ACTIVE and UNSUBSCRIBED. At least that person is still around socially.

I think it is much, much more social to let those who want to step away from Sleuth Noir do so. Simply dismiss them as members, and if they want to resume, let them back in.

There is no limit to how often you can change memberships in an agency. And the only cost is the subscription, which is inexpensive.

I certainly love the fact that Vampiric Crypt has only ACTIVE and SUBSCRIBED members. The social aspect is vibrant and exciting. Our membership is global. You could truly say that "the sun never sets on The Crypt". Of course since we are vampires, "the MOON never sets on The Crypt."

I also have many, many friends in other agencies. I greatly value those friendships, and that adds to the social aspect of Noir. But I would not enjoy being in another agency with any of those friends that keep dead weight around. It is simply boring and unfriendly.

But we digress. This post is about meeting Frances Taylor's needs. Her request was quite reasonable. And no agency meets these rather basic criteria. That is a sad, sad fact. :(

I agree with Night Queen, having 'family' that's never there is no different than not having them around at all.Regardless of being a family or not, there is still business involved here,so you shall be welcomed and taken care of,but that doesn't mean you don't do anything to contribute to the success of the agency.

That's why I love it here in Vampiric Crypt:it definitely is a family, and the fact that everyone is active means you'll follow suit.So yes, dead weight is better off removed.

Frances,I suggest searching for an agency that currently has at least half of the members active, that's better than one.For that,I suggest you check with Blue Pagoda.Lady Jas is an excellent director, and I'm sure she might consider you to join.

Well, let me add my 2 cents worth. I disagree with both Night Queen and Synesence. Take into consideration that there are times when funding for playing the game is not available, but they log in daily to do what they can. You all know me, Botsie and I have been around for a long time now. Dont intend on going anywhere either. Just thought I would mention it. But again take into consideration that money at times can be a problem. Anyone out there want to give me a free subscription.(smile).

Botsie misses the point.

Neither Synesence nor I spoke out against keeping active members. Just inactive members. I did NOT take issue with those merely unsubscribed but active.

And I am very glad, Botsie, you are not going to leave. I admire your steadfastness.

Yes, nobody said anything about kicking active members.Long as you play, your subscription status does not matter. :)
