Attention ladies and gentlemen, at the request of several players, I am proud to announce the Sleuthville AVH Tournament 2011! *trumpets blare and streamers fly*

The format will be 16 detectives, randomly paired off into teams of two by a third party, to face one other team. For this competition, players going through Cairo will have a day taken off their totals. The winning team will be the one with the lowest combined number of days for hunt completion. Failed hunts will not count against you. You will not be disqualified. If you fail your hunt and would like to start another, you may, but the day count will start from the official start date of the round. Irene will be tracking progress using her new program, so this can be considered as further testing.

The rules:

You may:
-travel to Shangri La the night before, but NOT start the hunt
-use a travel kit
-use head of faction privileges
-use agencies and apartments to swap gear

You may not (enforced only by the honor code):
-use sidekick cases (for either clues or travel)
-enter second/third detectives, etc.

The winning team(s) from each round will go on to the next round until a winning team is determined. In the case of a tie, both teams will move on to compete in a triple threat pair matchup. The last team standing wins. Anyone who would like to join, please POST here. Participants will be gathered on a first-come, first-served basis. The first matches will start on Monday, April 25, 2011.

Each following round of the competition will start on the next Monday at 0:00 sleuth server time, unless one of the matches takes longer than expected. In that case things will be adjusted accordingly and you will be updated as soon as possible.

Arch Villain Nabbed!
The notorious criminal Judge Olek Ackermann was brought to justice by Cordelia Falco after a painstaking hunt in which the heroic detective successfully tracked the villain around the world....

... and after said detective had thoroughly blotted her copybook on her previous hunt...

Can I have two days taken off cos I had to go through Cairo twice? :)

Did C-Lo drop off the planet? His absence was good news for Twin Goddesses, but I still hope things are okay with him. ercule, you are a worthy adversary. With a non-absentee partner, you would probably have beat us. (That is if Mags is successful).

Now, go Mags! You are my Twin Goddess!

Mags has a prettier smile than me. Mine is kind of creepy. ;)

Thank the Twin Goddesses that I am out of Delhi!

London... oh my home away from home!

I would be done by now if it weren't for my inability to properly select a name from a dropdown menu. -.-

Yes, Night, my smile is less creepy than your... but you have better clevage. :D

:P i agree kokou... :)

SO i don't know how the rules are... Maybe Riza can shed some lights...

Anyway C-Lo s a formidable partner when it comes to, (kinda imaginary now) but he really tracked down loads of villains... this was just my 11th hunt :)

Night and Mags.. All the best for future rounds... but i may come back in another VH to fight u for the title.. :)

Ok, I have temporarily given up on calculating the sum of days for your captures, and by that made the regular page at least display something, rather than an exception.

So, you will have to do the math yourself :-(

I believe the math is meant to be like this:

For each of the team members:
If there is a villain that is caught, that will be the one you look at.
If the villain passed through Cairo (C=1), subtract 1 from the number of days. - otherwise, just use the number of days given.

If there is one team member who have not captured a villain, Riza will have to tell what will be done then.

To get the team score, you add the adjusted number of days from each of the two team members.

The team (within the pair) with the lowest score, will be the winner. :-)

LOL Mags, my cleavage is better! Now that is funny.

Of course my "ampleness" is a temporary thing. Tomorrow I should pass the 7 mil mark and get my usual makeover. So I will not always have the same glamour boulders. But one thing that is always a constant, is my creepy smile. I can't seem to ever escape having a creepy smile. :>
