Hey guys. This is kind of a follow-up to my last thread. There I asked many of you what you had done to make things any different. Here I'm asking you, "What are you going to do?"

I always tell students it's better to show not tell, so here we go!

What I'm doing- Tonight I started writing a short scripted mystery that will serve as a tutorial to answer a lot of the common SM questions that people have.

How long will it take me- Hopefully I will have the whole thing done in a month (but with me who knows).

What would I need for it to work- I'd need it to be approved as a Scripted Mystery and ideally I'd like Ben to make it free to all players.

So what do you think guys? What can you do to help Sleuth?

Nancy, Welcome to Flash Fire.

I will try not to think of you as a "warm body". Hopefully, Dekz can restrain herself too. Especially since Lady Jas speaks so highly of you! ;)

We are 4 ladies of action. Our steeds are snorting fire as we scatter to the four corners of the Earth in search of villains!

Then Ctown28 will get the very last spot availiable in the "Eagle Wing" team.

Then I guess that we will close the invite and end up with theese teams:

Flash Fire:
Lady Jas
Night Queen
Dekz
Nancy Harris

Eagle Wing:
Ypsi
Andrew Corelli
Peach_Detects2
Ctown28

The Mindful:
Anikka
Breitkat
Vampiric Smile
Aknas

The Disasters:
Irene
Huglover
New Queen
Riza Hawkeye
----------------------------------------------------

People who find they would like to join a real tournament, are asked to go plead with Riza, and ask her to set up a real AVH. I will give her the support needed to do the tracking of the tournament.

Thanks VS but I've already promised Ypsi that she could play ;-) She actually begged poor thing. It was pathetic, lol.

For those who don't know Ypsi is me in disguise and I can't play both so Turtle has decided to sit this one out :-)

For a future AVH tournamen, if it's team based, I would actually love to see a team made up of Ben, Sunny, Secret_Squirrel and Heigh Leigh Irregulars....

I have a vague feeling someone in Sleuthville would have seen it very inspiring to be allowed to get the chance of beating an Admin team.
(Of course, it would probably be very difficult to beat them, but it had been great to be given the ability to try). :-)

(I think it's important to mention here, that you will NOT have to log in with your valueable sleuth on playsleuth2 to look at the results.)

- I have put up a page for collecting the information needed now, and will start on organizing the information so that it will be more easy to read :-D

Hi. I have multiple RL commitments that make the time needed for VH's almost impossible to commit to. Sorry.

I'd love to participate, unfortunately, this is a very hectic time for me, and I've been traveling a lot lately. I'm actually writing this from my phone in a hotel room in Atlanta. That said, I think this is an awesome idea and I'm so happy to see the response to it. Good luck to everyone involved, and kudos to Irene for igniting the fire!

Here is what I have found about the "Serges" score calculation system.

First each member in originally 3 member teams, will get a "personal" score based on the number of days between hunt start and capture.
Hunt start will be the set start date, regardless of when you actually choose to start. (though starting a day early will count as failed).

Number of days will be calculated by taking the (capture day - start day), i.e. capturing on the day you started would be 0 days.
The personal score is given this way:
Number of days = 1 -> points = 15
Number of days = 2 -> points = 15
Number of days = 3 -> points = 14
Number of days = 4 -> points = 12
Number of days = 5 -> points = 9
Number of days = 6 -> points = 5
Other number count of days -> points = 0

The team score will be based on 3 members, and the combination giving the highest score will be chosen automatically. Meaning the intention is for all members to start.

The team score will first be the sum of the "personal score" each team member is given.
If two team members finish on the same number of days, the points for finishing the day before will be added to the team score (for the first additional team member finishing on the same number of days).
If all/3 team members finish on the same number of days, the points for finishing the day before will be added to the team score for the first additional team member finishing on the same number of days. Then for the second team member finishing the same number of days, the team score is added with the points for the day before, and the points for the day before that.

Ok, let me have a couple of examples (I just show the "selected" version):
Example 1:
Member 1 finish on number of days = 5
Member 2 finish on number of days = 6
Member 3 finish on number of days = 6
Team score = sum of member points (9 + 5 + 5) + score of day before for the second one completing on the same day as another (9) = 28 points

Ok, minor change, after having read more thoroughly. You get the score for the following day, not the previous day. That makes example 1 wrong.

Let me try with new examples:
Member 1 finish on number of days = 3
Member 2 finish on number of days = 4
Member 3 finish on number of days = 4

Team score = member basic points(14 + 12 + 12) + bonus for first additional same day(9) = 45

Next example: all members finish on number of days = 4

Team score = member basic points (12 + 12 + 12) + bonus for first additional same day (9) + bonus for second additional same day (9 + 5) = 59.

I hope I made it right this time. If some oldies find I explained the calculation wrong, please help me correct it so that it will be right :-)
