i am considering retiring my detective for a couple of days.

what will happen to the agency that i have created

It depends Firien, if there are other directors in your agency then the agency will not dissolve when you retire your detective. Also you would need to have a director or other agent capable of hiring and promoting, in place if you are considering starting a new detective and rejoining your agency.
