If a townie tells you that Yolanda Bankhart (for example) thinks she knows who the murderer isâ€"I know this will give you another suspect but does it also mean that Yolanda Bankhart is more likely to give you WE on a suspect?

Thanks for the help you guys give us newbies, I know this stuff can get repetitious!

Scenario: Townie tells you that Yolanda Bankhart thinks she knows who the murderer is.

Your hopes: Townie gave you a name you didn't previously have (yay!), and said suspect is more likely to give you WE on a suspect.

The good stuff: Sometimes you are lucky enough to get the name of a new suspect. Yay!

Awful truth: Just because the bartender says that Yolanda thinks she knows something, her information may not be about the guilty party. So, you know that Yolanda thinks she knows something, and you ask her about (for example) Abeer Mann, and she doesn't have information about him. That does not mean Abeer is not guilty!

Yes, Yolanda Bankhart definitely has WE on a suspect, but not necessarily the guilty suspect.

Was that suitably muddled, or did it make sense? And does it answer your question?

lol Like real life, thinking you know something don't make it so! Thanks!

Also there's a chance that Yolanda Bankhart herself could be the guilty suspect. I played long enough to know that sometimes the guilty suspect is the person who knows something, who doesnt know something, or the client. >.>

In every mystery, you will have multiple WE on the various suspects you may have. In order to acuse you have to either have one WE and a false aliby or two WE on the same suspect. If you need it, pm me your email and I'll send you a picture of a case I did that shows everything you need to know.

Hope it helps.
